Do you think fanfiction authors come up with their ideas on their own? Do you assume there's no being or entity giving them the creativity to write those?
Well then you'd be dead wrong.
The Fanfiction Central, FFC for short, is a large organization employing millions of the world's most creative people to give the people who write fanfiction and draw fanart ideas. This is where cringy Y/Ns are kept in custody, ships are formed (and sailed), and where people find their shitty cover art.
There is a definite hierarchy system in the FFC that is very important to know about, as you'll need it for future reference.
The police department is the highest ranking of the hierarchy, and is led by Katsuki Bakugou. They're in charge of capturing any escaped 11-year-old ocs and any cringey Y/Ns. They also can bring anyone throughout the FFC into custody, but only if they have a good reason. They do a quick and effective job of this (usually) and are praised throughout the FFC.
The guard department is just below the police, and is led by Awesamdude. They're in charge of keeping the Y/Ns and cringe ocs in, yet they aren't the best at their job...
Below them are the idea-droppers. They're led by Stanford Pines. They're a bunch of geniuses in charge of sorting the fanfiction and fanart based on style, age, and a lot of other factors we don't have time to go into.
After that is the writing department, led by Edgar Allan Poe (no, not the poet). They write showstopping fanfiction that gets the water works flowing, causes you to delete your search history, and so much more. Sadly, they don't get enough credit since a lot of people in the department aren't that good, and were just placed here because they were a lot worse at everything else.
Then there's the art department, which is led by Umetarou Nozaki. You'll find people who can draw up nearly everything here. They can draw angst art, ship art, wholesome art, and nearly anything else. They also don't get enough credit for how hard their department works.
Finally, there's the cover-art department. They're led by Maritaka Mashiro, but it doesn't show at all. They're lazy, and a lot of them just slap some words on a picture and call it a day. Some work harder though.
This is the story of two FFC employees, Bix and Rio, and how they went from drawing and writing all day to saving worlds from the wrath of the worst villain imaginable...
Bix bursted into Rio's room, borderline shouting, "Surprise bitch!" On the hardwood floor sat Rio. She drew on her tablet, said tablet resting on her lap. She was curled up and only moving her arm. "Close the door, it's too bright," she mumbled, covering her eyes. The room was practically pitch black, the only noise being the alternative music that played in the background.
With the added light, it was easier to see that the room was far from empty. Drawings littered the floors and walls, notebooks and pens were randomly thrown everywhere, and a single charger for the tablet laid on the floor near the only outlet.
"You never leave this place do you," Bix asked, though it didn't sound much like a question.
"I don't, you're right."
They took the tablet from Rio, and dragged them outside. They walked for a little, into somewhat of a field, and pointed at a tree. Bix stated rather firmly, "Here. Take a real tree instead of the references on your computer. You need it."
"Ew," was the only response given.
Bix sat down next to said tree, Rio sitting next to them. Although after a while she just seemed to give up on sitting, and kind of folded over. "...You good?" they asked, looking over in slight concern. She only nodded in response. They talked sporadically, one randomly asking the other how their work was coming along, to which there was an expected answer:
"It's hard to find out what people like in fanfic anymore..."
"Everyone is good at art for some reason."
It wasn't long before the leaders of the writing department and art department walked up to them. The head of the art department was Umetarou Nozaki, well known for being from the manga and anime series Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun. On the other hand, the head of the writing department is Edgar Allan Poe. No, not the famous poet, the mystery novel author from the anime and manga series Bungou Stray Dogs.
Nozaki stopped in front of Rio and blandly stated, "The Boss wants to talk to you." Bix turned to her with an expression like that of an elementary schooler when a person is called to the office. "Wha- what did I do-?" she questioned him, rapidly blinking while doing so. Nozaki shrugged and walked away calmly. Poe looked at Bix and spoke barely audibly, "You have to go as well." He turned and walked away, mumbling to Karl the raccoon who was comfortably curled up on his head. Bix blinked silently for a moment, before sputtering out, "What-"
"Well..." Rio stood up, "Let's go I guess"
As they walked through the (mostly) bland halls, they struck up a conversation. "Sooo what do you think the boss looks like?" Bix asked while glancing at Rio. The response was quick but didn't offer much insight, "Uhhhh I have no idea."
They started throwing out random descriptions of what they thought. They began pointing towards a scary figure. A huge villain from a story, even considering Dream from the Dream SMP, Bill Cypher from Gravity Falls, or even Gaea from Heroes of Olympus. Once they reached the grand white door, Rio muttered a quick sentence, "Let's hope they're not as scary as we think-?" Bix nodded once. Both took a deep breath and reached for one of the handles to each of the doors.
Inside, on a huge swivel chair sat a very small child on a pile of books. "...Hold on what?!" Bix half-questioned, half-shouted. There was a small oink coming from the pile of books on top of the chair. On said pile of books sat a piglin child in a winter coat and overalls. "The Boss is Michael," Rio stated amusedly, and smiled a bit. "Yes. Yes he is," Bix responded dumbly.
There was a series of oinks, and a deep and slightly hoarse voice quickly followed after, "He says hello and that it's nice to meet you." The two quickly turned to the source of the voice to which Bix gasped, "Rio. Rio. Rio. Rio. Rio. It's Technoblade. Rio-"
Rio nodded and said blandly, "Yes. That is Technoblade. You watch his streams, you watch his videos, and yet you're still surprised to see him." They gave her a light bonk on the head, "Shut up."
Michael interrupted the two quickly with more pig sounds, and Technoblade rapidly translated, "He says that since you two are the best in your fields, and that you know the layouts of fandoms well, he trusts that you can do something to help with the situation." The temperature dropped a couple degrees, and a tense aura filled the room like a heavy fog. People aside from the police department weren't often called on for things. Rio looked at Michael, "What situation?" Bix looked to the side, seeming a bit scared. There was a snort and a translation.
"Y/N has escaped."
