Pov. Alex

"Alright, see you in 30 minutes." I said and I could hear a small chuckle on the other end of the line. "I'm so curious what your surprise is. Do I have to bring or wear something special?" "It's nothing special so you can wear whatever you want." i said before I said goodbye and hung up.
Lewis has been so stressed lately, school kept them busy so we couldn't spend much time together. That's why I planed a picnic for both of us at the park.

I woke up early to make some pancakes and after an hour I prepared everything.
Right now I'm on my way to Lewis' house. They moved here recently and I'm so glad we don't have to be in a long distance relationship. After I crossed some streets I finally reached their house. They was already waiting for me at the front door and she literally took my breath away.
"You look gorgeous-", that's all I could say at the moment. They wore a light blue dress with a corset. Their hair was slightly curled. All in all they looked like a real goddess. "I thought I told you to not wear something special?" I said, still staring at them.
Lewis ran towards me and hugged me tightly. "I wanted to look extra cute for you today." they whispered in my ear and I couldn't stop smiling.
We made our way to the park and searched for a good place to sit down. Lewis wanted to feed the ducklings so we found a good spot near the lake. While they fed the ducks I set up the picnic. To be honest I was really nervous, what if they don't like the food? We never really talked about our favorite food so I just hope they likes it.
"Hey there~" they said while they sat down next to me. Their eyes got bigger and bigger. "You made Pancakes?? And you brought Strawberries, too? Awwww Alex, you're so sweet." they said happily and before I could react they leaned closer to me and suddenly their lips were on mine. My heart stopped beating for a second and I could feel butterflies in my stomach. I had feelings for them since the day we met for the first time. I'm not even sure if they knows how much this short kiss means to me.

"I'm so hungry, I can't wait anymore.." "Pff, Drama queen..." I whispered loud enough for them to hear. They rolled their eyes and ate some strawberries. I also ate some pancakes and a crossaint with cherry marmelade. But most of the time I looked at them and couldn't stop smiling. At first they didn't realize that I was staring at them, they were too busy eating some grapes but after some minutes they looked in my direction. "Everything okay?" they asked confused and pulled one of their eyebrows up. "Yes sure," I said nervous, "I just think you look super adorable when you're eating." They gave me one of her prettiest smiles and started blushing a little bit.
Damn, they're literally perfect.

We spent the next few hours talking about everything and everyone. We were joking around and fed the cute little ducklings when they came closer to our place.
At 1pm I started to get nervous. I knew that Lewis had to go home soon because they have to learn for school.
Some months ago Lewis and I went to the mall and when we came across a jeweler they saw a necklace with a moon pendant. They immediately wanted to buy it but sadly the necklace was too expensive. Yesterday I went to the same jeweler and bought the necklace. I decided that it's time to tell them about my feelings for them and even if they don't feels the same they would still be happy about the new necklace.
"Uhm, Lewis, could you please sit down for a moment? We have to talk." They sat next to me and I could see how worried they were. "Whats the problem?" I took a deep breath and told them everything. I told them how I feel when I look into their beautiful face and how my heart skips a beat everytime they laughs because I made a silly joke. I told them how much they means to me and why I could never live without them.
After I finished my last sentence they just looked at me with big eyes. "I honestly didn't knew you feel that way. I thought you see us as best friends who like spending time together." They paused for some seconds. Then they started smiling. "Please don't tell me you didn't notice that I also like you? C'mon, it was sooooo obvious!"

I could feel the relief in my whole body and I'm sure in this moment I was the happiest person on this planet.
At first we still were a little bit shy but after some minutes everything was back to normal again.
I reached into my pocked and gave them a small black box. They gave me a confused look but after I smiled at them they opened the box. Since I knew how bad they wanted to have this moon necklace I already knew they'd be super happy. And I was right. After they saw what's in the box they started smiling and I'm not lying if I'm saying that this was the prettiest smile I ever saw.
"Alex... When did you bought this?? If I remember right this necklace was super expensive, how were you able to afford it?" "While you were busy studying for school I used my free time to look for some mini jobs. I really wanted to give you this necklace even if that means that I don't have that much free time anymore."
"I absolutely love it, thank you so much! Can you help me put it on?" "Yes sure... There you go!" "It's absolutely perfect." I leaned closer to them and before our lips connected I whispered: "I love you."
