Today everyone is performing their bets. This is gonna be good. I'll also find out who my partner is today. Mom takes me after school (and yes, I meant what I said in the last book, I'm not talking about school anymore unless something juicy happens) and I set up three chairs for the judging panels. Me, Noah, and Isaac are the judges since I need a female partner (according to the rules).

Noah and Isaac walk in as I get the clipboards ready and we discuss how the judging is going to work. When we're ready, I walk down the hall to the other studio where everyone is warming up. I clap my hands, "Alright everyone, let's get this party started! Everyone out of this studio and into the others." Everyone takes off running and leaves me half jogging half speed walking to catch up.

When I'm seated, I look at the first bet. Woah! 130 fouettés en pointe? I knew people made some serious bets, but this is ridiculous. "Alright, Bailey, you're up. Time to see those 130 fouettés." I look at Noah and Isaac to make sure their counters are ready. When I see that they're ready, I nod at Bailey to show that she can start when she's ready.

She prepares, then starts her turning. 1...2...3...4...5...17...18...19...27, then she falls. We don't even have to check this one because it was nowhere near the count. I sigh, "I'm sorry Bailey, but you didn't meet your bet. This was a very unfortunate circumstance, but I'm sure with more work, one day you will nail all 130 of those fouettés." Everyone claps as she walks to the side, where people greet her with hugs and good jobs.

We better get on with this. Did I mention that we are staying here until everyone does their bet? Noah looks down at his clipboard, "Ok Ryan, you're up next. Your bet is to do 36 fouettés into a calypso and roll to the ground." This is more of a jazz thing, so she's in jazz shoes. Ryan ball changes then starts turning. She gets the thirty six and does the calypso. She rolls to the floor just like she said. She did it! All three of us nod, "Congratulations Ryan, you have completed your bet. We will make a note of this, and if anyone else fulfills theirs, we will make an extra round to determine my partner."

Next up is Allie (didn't make it), then Sammie (made it), then Grace (didn't make it, but was close). I glance at the clock on the wall. I stand up and clap my hands together, "Alright everyone, we are going to take a one hour break for dinner and to stomach our food. After you are done eating, if you didn't fulfill your bet, you may go since it is getting late, but are welcome to stay if you wish."
