"Ao Chan!" Says a ginger-headed boy. He pulled his hand out from behind his back, revealing the most beautiful bouquet of tulips.
"Go on a date with me, please!" He says, bowing slightly, holding out the tulips for Aoi to take.
"I give that a one out of ten." Aoi giggled, a hint of discomfort in her voice.
Akane's face drops, in annoyance and sadness.
"You literally have never given me higher than a three! Can't I at least get a four?" Akane says desperately. Aoi rolled her eyes at the statement.
"Well, your attempts to flatter me are unoriginal. Flowers and blatantly asking me out are completely pointless." Aoi explains, afterward turning around and walking away.
"Ao-Chan, wait!" Akane called after the purple-headed girl.
Aoi hurried away, clearly uncomfortable with the situation that just went down between her and Akane.
She sighed once she was far enough away. She never voiced her opinion to anybody on this, but everyone treating her like a different species was weird. She was human too, right? So why treat her like she was an entirely different breed?
The purple haired girl never did understand what Akane was so in love with about her. She was just a regular girl, not some angel sent from above. She wasn't anything special.
"Morning Aoi!" Said a girl, smiling brightly. She was watering Aoi flowers and waving to the girl.
"Morning Nene-Chan." Aoi smiled back, grabbing the watering pail from the daikon's hands. "I'll take the flowers from here! Thank you very much!" The purple haired girl said.
She sighed. Her life was always assumed to be perfect. It was far from it though.
Might as well allow them to continue assuming though.
