"So what you're telling me is that your dead brother isn't dead, and he wants you dead?" Liam asked, eyebrows furrowed.

"Uh, yeah that sounds about right." I nodded.

"When was the last time you saw him?" Zayn asked next.

"I was about seven years old, maybe. I think he was ten around then."

"He ran away when he was ten? How does a ten year old do that?" Harry questioned, shocked.

"My dad was a good trainer. We could care for ourselves at that time. He was planning on taking Anthony with him on missions by then."

"How long ago was that?"

"Fifteen years ago," I stood up and walked over to the ceiling-to-floor window. I stared out to the buzzing city below us, a place I've lived in for years, a place where I've tried to escape my past.

"California. Born and raised. Got out the day I turned eighteen. Danny was the first person who talked to me. I met him on the plane, he knew about me. Been stuck ever since."

"Well, we have to keep you safe. You're going to have to stay behind when we do missions. We're putting you on house arrest." Liam demanded. I stared at him in disbelief.

Niall, he's fucking joking, right? He can't put me on house arrest! It's not fair! I can protect myself, its my brother for Christ's sake! I've kicked his ass when we were little, he can't do anything to me!

"I can, and I will. We still don't know who threw that car door at you. There's another superior in town and I'm not sure if they have the same viewpoints as us." Liam explained and I rolled my eyes.

I barely remembered seeing anything or anyone before I was hit. I remember a crisp white, and emerald.

"I can't remember anything but colors. White and emerald. That's it. Do you know where you found me?" I asked.

"Yeah, in an alley behind the building we were working in." Niall sighed as he ran his thumbs over each other.

"That doesn't make sense because I was in front of the next building over. I couldn't get back there." I threw myself down into the armchair and sighed. I brushed over the possibilities for nearly a thousand times, before giving up.

"What were you saying about some other superior?" I asked and rested my elbows on my knees.

"Someone else is here. I don't know who or why, but it's important that we find out. It could be your brother." Liam tapped his foot and laid back. The other boys were silently standing or sitting nearby, listening to the conversation.

Danny leaned against the breakfast bar, a white t shirt hugging his nicely toned chest. His emerald eyes watched everyone speak in their own conversations, dripping in curiosity. His emerald eyes.

Emerald.

I jumped out of my seat suddenly, the chair sliding back slightly.

"What?"

"Nothing, I just..." I trailed off in a loss of focus. I absentmindedly walked to my room and locked the door.

After a while of day dreaming I feel asleep. I dreamed of my mom and dad and what they were like at our home in California. They never seemed to want to leave the other, so loving and trusting. Anthony was another story. He always hated that I-

There was a loud bang that broke me from me sleep. I rolled out of bed and tried to find out where it came from, but everyone was gone.

Perfect.
