The match between us and Teikoku finally happen.
We noticed that Teikoku had changed their spikes.
"Looks like Teikoku has changed their spikes" Kozoumaru remarked
"Teikoku is well-known for doing whatever it takes to win. There's no telling what's up their sleeve" Hiro added
"It'll be fine! We've trained diligently for this day!" Asuto reassured
"Right! We have hissatsu techniques we can use against Teikoku!" Michinari said confidently
"Let's win this match!" Asuto declared
"Yeah!" everyone agreed
I approached the Teikoku team and tapped Sakuma on the shoulder. He turned around and saw me.
"[L/N]! Long time no see!" Sakuma grinned
"It's been a while" I smiled back
"Did you see Kazemaru?" I asked
"Yeah, he was in the..." Sakuma was cut off by a player wearing a goalkeeper uniform
"Is he new?" I asked, noticing the unfamiliar face
"Yeah" Sakuma answered
"I want you to give me your captain armband" the boy said
"Huh?! What do you mean, you want the captain armband?!" Sakuma asked, clearly shocked
"Well, since Commander has such full trust in me, I thought it only natural that I wear the captain's armband" the boy explained.
"Hey!" Teikoku's No. 3 grabbed the boy by the shirt.
"If you get any more arrogant, I swear...!" Teikoku No. 3 threatened.
"Cut it out! Sakuma, give Shimerigawa the captain armband" Kazemaru said, walking over to us.
Sakuma and I turned to Kazemaru in surprise.
"Kazemaru!" we both exclaimed
"I never took you to be Kageyama's dog" Sakuma said, looking at Kazemaru in disbelief
"K-Kageyama's dog?" I muttered, glancing at Kazemaru, but he avoided eye contact with me
"That's all right with you, right, Commander!?" Shimerigawa said, a smug grin on his face
Sakuma sighed, reluctantly taking off his captain's armband and handing it to Shimerigawa
"Are you sure?" I asked, concerned
"I don't have a choice" Sakuma said quietly
"Thank you!" Shimerigawa said, putting the armband on
"Now I'm pumped! Captain Shimerigawa! I'm going to be so popular!" Shimerigawa shouted, clearly full of himself
"Now I'm convinced he's crazy" I muttered
"Yeah, I totally agree with you" Sakuma agreed, shaking his head
"Good luck to all of us!" I said to Sakuma before turning to head back to the field
"Yeah!" Sakuma called back
The crowd roared with excitement.
"This is the first time we will see the former teammate [L/N] and Kazemaru face off in Football Frontier!" the commentator announced
"This is going to be exciting! What will they show us in today's match?" he added

The match had already begun, and we noticed that Teikoku's movements were slower than usual.
"What's happening?" Asuto asked
