emotions

I hate them, and I love them. I'm having emotions about emotions and it's very confusing. On one hand, emotions are the core of humanity. They are what make us unique. The way someone reacts to certain things and experiences emotions is different for each person. Emotions give us personality, morals, individuality. They create relationships and help us make important life decisions.

Then again, relying on emotions to guide us on what decisions to make could be really destructive as well. Emotions can make us act on impulse instead of taking the more logical and thought out route. They can make us break down and stop being productive, taking away our will to even leave the house.

Emotions will tear a person apart. They will come from out of nowhere and hit you right where it hurts. They will change a person completely to the point where their own family would not recognize them. Emotions. I hate them, and I love them. But I'll just have to live with them, because they make me feel alive.
