Alec POV
I had been sweeping the floors of the dining area when something or someone hit me over the back of my head. "Omega! You need to make this place spotless!" They yelled before a clatter of plates could be heard on my sparkling floor. That was Beta Jaiden, he was a total ass and I had been planning his murder ever since I first met him. But since I was a lowly omega and he was the next in line beta I stayed silent.
"Of course Beta Jaiden, how could I ever forget?" I internally cringed at the 'Beta Jaiden' it was so tacky. But that's how I had to greet this guy if I didn't want my ass beat. The guys army of side chicks laughed as they all walked away.
This was how I'm normally treated but tonight was a special night. The Alpha of the BloodSilver pack was coming over and I had to be his water boy, on top of cleaning the whole dining area at the same time. "That guy had better be hot or that shit ain't worth it." I mumbled to myself. There were a few other Omegas but for some unexplained reason I was the subject of all the hate. It feels like I'm in a novel. If this really was a novel it'd better not be cliché.
The door to the outer dining area was kicked open by the packs slut Jessica. She was pretty nice despite the title, it was just her habit of picking up guys, and girls, from bars. She was one of the few that weren't that mean to me. She was still annoying but fun in her own way. But that never changed the way she annoyed me on a daily basis.
"Ugh Alec~ how do I make Oli notice me more?" She pouted, lately she'd set her sights on Oli another Omega in the pack. He was a overall nice guy and a bit pudgy. The first time I had introduced them it was like I set a target on that guy. From then forth her eyes were set on him and him only. I felt really bad for the guy but as the time passed I saw that he was lowering his guard a bit. And honestly? Good for the both of them. The reactions of the other males when Jessica ignored them in favor of Oli was great. And I wholeheartedly shipped then together and will defend that ship till it sinks.
"Well I dont know, maybe you can pray to the Moon Goddess to make you guys mates." I tell her sarcastically. But her eyes perked up and he looked rather surprised. "Of course! Why didn't I think of that, thanks Alec!" She yells running out the door. That was another thing about Jessica, she's a fucking dumbass.
Around three hours had passed and now I was cooking. The other Omegas were preparing the side dishes while had my hands full on the main course. It was going to be just steak with mashed potato and veggies as sides. Steak was the most neutral and safe food to feed werewolves since the all were meat eaters. So they couldn't really be picky about it.
Yet my expectations were crumpled again as the current alpha of the pack walked in to the kitchen and said that the steak looked like shit. He then proceeded to dump all my hard work into the trash and made me cook a whole new batch. "You'd better get it done by 6pm sharp tonight." He scowled before leaving the kitchen. My head was bowed but I had a intent to kill written all over my face. This is literally the best fucking food you're ever gonna taste you worthless-
One of the Omega spoke up, sensing my bloodlust. "Well I mean, uh, it smells great in here. Right guys?" They asked looking around. Some nodded but the tension was still high up in the air. Only now it was accompanied by a feeling of embarrassment. I could feel the whole world cringing. But I kept silent because now I had to make a brand new steak for everyone.
After a good 3 additional hours of cooking I had finally finished everything just in time for the Alpha to come. The food was set, the dining area as well as the entrance was spotless and I finally get to rest on my bed.
Changing my clothes I flop on my bed and bring down the mental link between me and my wolf. I keep it up most of the time so that my wolf, silver-star, wouldn't distract me. Hiding my wolf also means that I would practically be human. So it was easier to slip away from the pack members if they decide to take out some anger on me.
I take in a deep breath as I bring down the mental barrier, feeling my inner wolf squirm before they stood up and went over to my side.
About time Alec, thought that you'd have forgotten me by now.
'Oh shut up, I get that you're annoyed but you never can stay quiet.'
How would you know? You've never let me out that much.
'If you're anything like me then you wouldn't shout the hell up!'
Silver-star and I argue for an indefinite amount of time before an alarm goes off signaling that the alpha was almost there.
Do you think the alpha is good looking?
'He'd better be'
What if the Alpha turned out to be our mate? That would be quite funny wouldn't it.
' what the hell why are you thinking like that all of a sudden?'
I have no idea I just have a feeling in my gut they might be our mate
On that note Silver-star went quite as I finished putting on my suit. And walked out the door to the dining area.
