Tails The Tiny Fox (a Sonic the Hedgehog fanfic)

Chapter 2- The journey begins

Tails was running around. "I never realized how messy my workshop is!" He said, jumping over tools that were laying on the ground. "I have to find a way to get to Sonic's house. If anyone can help me with this, he's my best bet!" Tails said, flying around.

"It's gonna be hard, though. The journey'll take a while because of my size." He flew out of his workshop. He celebrated, but his victory was short-lived.

He saw a bird closing in. Tails had ran out of energy to fly, and fell onto the roof. The bird was quickly closing in on him, and he screamed.

Meanwhile, three familiar faces were taking a walk. It was Team Chaotix! Tails saw his chance, and used his remaining energy to fly and try to get the three detectives' attention.

At first they walked past, but Espio stopped in his tracks. "Vector, Charmy, wait. I'm sensing something. A presence." He said.

Vector and Charmy stopped in their tracks and the three detectives started looking around. Then they heard a voice. "Guys! Hey! I'm over- AAAAHH!" It was Tails! And the bird had just grabbed him!

Vector, Espio and Charmy watched in fear as the bird got Tails and flew off with him. "Come on! We have to save him!" Vector said.

He and Espio ran off after the bird while Charmy flew right next to them. They were able to catch up to the bird, and Espio threw one of his kunai at one of the bird's wings.

He hit the wing, causing the bird to fall to the ground. Once the bird was down on the ground, Espio carefully opened the claw the bird had Tails in and freed him.

Espio carefully held Tails in his hand, making extra sure not to hurt the young fox. "Tails, are you alright?" He asked.

"Yep. I'm gonna be scarred forever from that terrifying experience, but other than that, I'm okay." Tails replied.

Vector walked up to where Tails was. "Now what I wanna know is, how'd you get so tiny?" He asked.

"Oh Yeah! I wanna know too!" Charmy exclaimed. "Charmy. Keep your voice down a bit. Tails' ears might be sensitive since he's so small. But yes, I am also curious." Espio said.

"Well, I was testing out my new shrink ray I just invented today. And the shot missed the target, reflected off of a mirror, and hit me. Which caused me to shrink, and you see the result." Tails explained.

"We need to inform everyone else about the situation." Espio said. Vector nodded.

-Timeskip!-

Back at Chaotix HQ, Vector was making calls to everyone, letting them know what happened. "Okay, Tails. Tomorrow, we meet up with everyone back at your workshop and fix this." Vector said after finishing the last call.

Tails nodded. 'Finally, this nightmare will be over!' He thought. For now though, he had to get some rest. Today had been a long day for tails, and he needed some sleep.
