Part 1 (Story): Let the Chaos Ensue

Max's POV:

I slowly shifted, trying to get comfortable in bed. I slowly opened my eyes, expecting to see my ocean wallpaper, but instead, I saw checker patterns and ASDFMovie art everywhere. What the... I thought to myself. Where am I? It looks so familiar... weird. I got up out of 'my' bed and rubbed my 'eyes'. Alex must've snuck in and taken my ocean wallpaper down and replaced it with posters... Man, that'd be a first! Alex was a good friend of mine, but he could be just a little bit... childish at times. Yeah, that has to be it! There's no other explanation... unless... no. That's impossible! Alex is gonna pay when I see him. "Alex! What did you do to my room!?" I shouted. What the... That wasn't my voice..! I started to panic. I took some slow breaths and got up. I decided to explore the room a bit more. There was a bass with a nametag on it that said 'Susan'. Weird to name a bass, but who am I to talk? I named a plant Dave. I also saw a brown teddy bear with a single line for eyes and a tuft of hair that stuck up. I... recognize that bear... Isn't that... Tomee Bear? Eh, probably a coincidence... After I finished looking around, I decided to go and try to find someone who could tell me if this even WAS my house. Deep breaths, Max. Just... just open this door, find someone who can help, and get that sweet, sweet payback on Alex. Simple as that. I opened the door and walked into what looked like a living room. It had a red couch surrounded by 2 red chairs. This isn't my house... Oh, Alex, you are SO gonna pay for this! I looked around for someone, anyone who could help me. There was a cat sleeping on the couch. It was a gray striped cat with a collar on. That's adorable! The person living here has a buddy! I went over and looked at his collar. "Ringo, huh? Well, Ringo, whoever named you must be a fan of Eddsworld, too!" I said. Eddsworld was my favorite thing to watch on YouTube when I was bored. I was always writing fanfics about the characters and I always wrote about us being friends. Once, I even tried to build a portal to Eddsworld, but that backfired... But hey, at least I got Lee out of it..! I knew that it would never happen, though, so I had Lee and Mac help me set up VRChat so I could talk with fellow Eddsworld fans. But... something happened within the game...

3rd Person POV:

| 1 Day Before The Accident - After the Event Change - Maxsworld|

Max finally found an Eddsworld-themed server. It had been 6 months since Lee and Mac helped him set up the VR headsets. This was it! He was finally going to be able to be with his fandom. The server was called E6dsw0r1d RP!!! Lee was a little suspicious about the server. It had 4 people on its only server, but Max and Mac payed no attention to this minor detail. Lee tried to warn them about the virus going around on servers that caused the worlds to glitch out and crash or break the headset(s), but, as usual, they were too close to loading in. Both Max and Mac joined at the same time, but there was nobody visible on the server except for them. They loaded into the living room, where everything was distorted. "What is this?" Max thought aloud. I remember seeing a glitch like this... Isn't this the VRC Virus!? "Mac! We need to get off! I think this is the virus Lee warned us of!" They tried to get their headsets off, but they couldn't. It was too late. Their avatars changed from Max's OC to Tom, and from Mac's OC to ----. The world turned into a purple glitching mess, then everything turned into a black void. "Max? Wh-what's going on!?" Mac said. "M-a-a-a-c, wh-hy- am-m I gl-glit-t-t-chi-chi-ing...?" Max tried to say. Suddenly, everything went silent as Mac and Max passed out. Lee walked in to check on them, who was dragging Alex along. "Why are we here again? I'm BOOOOOOORED!" Alex complained. "We need to make sure the virus didn't get to them." Lee said. "Hopefully we made it in time..." Lee paused. He stared at the bodies of his two friends. The bodies had a glitch-like oily liquid dripping from the headsets. "What the... MAX! MAC!" Lee shouted. "Oh my gosh, are they okay!?" Alex said with a scared look on his face. "The virus got them! Wait... this isn't the same virus!" ""Wh-what do we do now, Lee...?" Alex said. "Alex, take Mac back to his room. I'll take Max." "Okay!" Alex said. They grabbed Mac and Max and took them to their rooms.

As Alex set Max down, he got a bad feeling... like something life-changing was gonna happen, and not in a good way. Eventually, he figured out a way to get the headset off of his friend and clean up the stuff on him.

Matt was concerned. Were Tom and Tord going to be okay? He snuck into Tom's room to check on him. He peeked over at Tom's bed. He's sleeping! He didn't die! Phew.... Matt did the same thing in Tord's room. After Matt and Edd went to bed, there was a burst of light. After it faded, everything went silent.

I reached out and pet Ringo. Ringo started to purr excessively. "You're just the sweetest, aren't you?" I said happily. Such a cute cat, I thought. I wonder who's it is... After I finished playing with Ringo I decided that I would walk the opposite direction for some reason. There was a bathroom with a mirror in it. I decided to go look in it. "HOLY SWEET MOTHER OF BALLORA!!!" I screamed. Th-that's not me..! I let out a scream of terror.
