So, I don't know where to go,

And I don't know what to do,

Everywhere I go,

There they are with you,

Try all I might,

I can't get you on your own,

Now I'll just sit here,

People watching as I groan.

Then it's the same with my friends,

Around corners and around bends,

Standing there being all nice,

They all sound like squeaky mice,

They're gnawing away at my brain,

Like a woodpecker at a cane,

They're in two's maybe fours,

Add me in there, shut all the doors,

Pushed out into the cold,

Trying not to be too bold.

Back to him,

Back to her,

It's not right,

Everything's a blur,

Tears form in my eyes,

I see past everyones pathetic disguise,

Running over thoughts in my mind,

I want you there to keep me bound,

To the sanity that's now long gone,

You stick out like a sore thumb.

Accept me now,

Accept me then,

Hold me close,

Keep me in,

Whisper words into my ear,

But only the words I want to hear,

If they're not there,

Or can't be spoken,

Leave me stood there,

Bound and broken,

To the reality that was forespoken,

Told in fairy-tales,

About lands far, far away,

Take me there and let us stay,

In a big castle as big as the land,

We could walk about hand in hand,

Marriage one day,

Children the next,

Disturbed by nothing, not even a text.

Then I wake up again and begin to cry,

Why did I pick you, why?

You'll never be mine,

I'll never be yours,

The fact has only just dawned,

Upon me it shall stay,

Until I move on, far away,

Which is where I never want to be,

Only because you won't be there with me.
