Chapter 1

Chapter 1: The Big Move

"Ava honey, do you mind coming down here for a second," yelled by very loving but over protective mom.

When I got home from school I was surprised to see her car in the driveway. She was usually out with friends or working late nights. My dad was the same; he was our towns biggest lawyer and sadly he was a busy man.

My parents weren't around often but when they are it was becuase either I've done something wrong or something is going to change.
Jogging down the stairs I see both my parents anxiously staring at me from the living room.
Getting anxious myself I walk over to see flat cardboard boxes on the back wall of the room.

"Sweetie, this is going to be hard but I want you to promise that you will think about it with an open mind," said my dad as he patted the space beside him for me to sit.

Rolling my eyes I put my hands on my knees indicating that I'm ready to listen.

"Your dad just got a promotion. He is going to be paid double the amount and worm under a very famous law corporation"

"No way... That's so cool dad, I'm really happy. For a second there I thought something bad was happening."

"Hehehe....see the thing is sweetie," said my dad while sharing nervous glances with my mother, "I'll be working for PEI Law Corp."

"Oh, that's so cool..... Wait......PEI, as in Prince Edward Island!!"

"Yeah"

"As in the province in the other side of Canada!!!!!"

"Yeah?"

Getting of my seat, I glare at my parents as they advert there eyes. I couldn't believe this. Yes I was happy for my dad, I mean he worked hard for this, but British Columbia was my home.

"Are you trying to tell me that we're moving"

"Thank God you understand," said my mom in a relieved voice.

"Understand....you are moving out of the only home I have ever known."

"Watch your tone young lady.....and yes, there is nothing we can do about it. The house in PEI is already bought and this one sold. We fly out in two day so I suggest you start packing!!," yelled my father getting mad at me.

Wow, this is my first story so I hope you like it. I'll try updating as soon as I can but school is very hectic. Also, I promise that is will get better!!!
