Prologue- Written About a Tragedy

I wrote another poem...

This time about the story that haunts town.

She was struck by moonlight

as the clock hit midnight

It crept into her room

during her hour of gloom

through the window, the moon's rays poured

trust my word

what I say might sound cheesy

The moon struck her

through the window, it found her heart

caused a stir

that could tear her heart apart

The poor thing

will now only think of him

Under the sky of night

she was hiding out of sight

months have passed since that night

all they do is fight

growing tired she left

all she wanted was some rest

but they had a guest

not a wise idea

I do dare say

That love has caught her

made her run away

the moon caused a stir

one that can break her into pieces

the poor little thing

won't be his little Mrs

now she's looking for a string

Poor girl

doesn't she know that string only harms?

for the moon has struck her

trust me this caused a stir

she won't stir anymore

close the door

For the moon knows what it did

watching through the glass

her heart is torn apart

watch as she departs

the poor thing

tied a string

all because of him

things have gone grim

now the moon is laughing

and it knows what it did
