(Modern)Tanjiro Boyfriend Scenarios

𝕎𝕙𝕖𝕟 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕙𝕒𝕧𝕖 𝕕𝕚𝕟𝕟𝕖𝕣 𝕒𝕥 𝕙𝕚𝕤 𝕙𝕠𝕦𝕤𝕖 ❤️

Snow fell from the winter sky like any other snowy day, but this time, it was a day unlike any other. It was more nerve-wracking then a presentation or public speech. Higher standards than a test. It required all of (Y/N)'s focus.

She was going to meet Tanjiro's family; officially.

It was surprising that she hadn't met Urokodaki yet. She had met Nezuko a few times, but only for a few minutes at most. Though she hadn't met the old man, Tanjiro had nothing bad to say about him. (Except for when he complains about Urokodaki's nagging)

It was almost dinner time, which was when (Y/N) was meeting them at their house, and (Y/N) couldn't be more nervous. She fret over her outfit all day, and eventually found something that was classy, stylish, and girl-next-door (which is pretty much what she was). She did her hair in her favourite style, which was (favourite hairdo).

She had to be there at 5:30 pm, and it was now 4:45 pm. Only a little longer before she had to start walking over.

She had gifts prepared for each host as well; A box of nice chocolates for Urokodaki, a plushie for Nezuko, and flowers for Tanjiro.

The gifts reminded her of Valentine's Day, which was about 2 weeks away. (Y/N) couldn't wait to spend the day with Tanjiro.

Before she knew it, her fretting and worrying made the time go by way too fast.

"Shit! I have to get going!!" (Y/N) yelped and scurried out the door. There was absolutely NO way she was going to be late to meet her first boyfriend's family!

Fortunately, Lady Luck was on her side today and she made it right on time. She frantically knocked on the door, and Tanjiro answered shortly after. He was face to face with a sweaty, panting (Y/N).

"Did you... run here?" Tanjiro softly smiled, as if teasing her.

"Yes, but at least I made it on time, didn't I?" She laughed and hugged her boyfriend.

He gladly accepted the hug. Tanjiro's hugs were like clouds, especially when he wore a big puffy sweater like he was wearing now.

"By the way Tanji, I got you these!" (Y/N) shoved a bouquet of lilies in his face, making him smile and blush.

"Aw, thanks angel! You didn't have to do that!" Tanjro exclaimed and went in for another hug and kiss.

Soon after the hug, a gruff and elderly voice echoed throughout the front entrance.

"*Ahem* I hate to interrupt you two, but I'd like to officially meet you, (Y/N). My name is Sakonji Urokodaki." The man wore an eye-catching red tengu mask, and as soon as he walked into the room it started to smell like pastries. He wore a classic grandpa sweater and baggy pants. (An odd combination with the mask).

"Oh! It's certainly a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Urokodaki sir!" (Y/N) extended a hand to the old-timer, which, to her relief, he took and shook it gently.

"Likewise, (Y/N). I've heard so many lovely things about you from my boy, I couldn't help but invite you over for dinner." Urokodaki slyly looked at Tanjiro, as if he were trying to embarrass him (it worked).

"Ah- Pops!" Tanjiro reddened in shame, and (Y/N) giggled in delight.

"Is that so?" She would definitely use this against him later.

"Now now, I'm sure you're all hungry. Please, come inside."

"Oh, before we do, I brought gifts for everyone!" (Y/N) opened up her bag to take out the gifts for Urokodaki and Nezuko.

"These chocolates are for you, sir. Where is Nezuko?" She pondered about the whereabouts of the quiet girl.

Coincidentally, Nezuko popped her head in the door.
