Hope is walking past Josie
J: Hey Ho-
H: Nope

The entire day Hope ignores Josie

7:30pm

Josie barges into to hopes room
J: Hope list-
Josie looks at Hope all dressed up and admires her
J: Why are you dressed up?
H: I have a date
J: A date? With who?
H: Valerie from the bar
J: The girl you fed on?
H: Yep. I went back to the bar last night and saw her I asked her on a date
J: You just went up to her and asked?
H: Nope. I slept with her then I asked her out this morning
J: You slept with her?
H: Yes are you gonna keep repeating every single thing I say. You obviously chose Finch so I'm moving on and I plan to go on more dates if this one doesn't work out
J: So because you saw me with Finch my girlfriend, you're going to start to going on dates with different guys and girls out of spite
H: 1. It's not out of spite 2.Nope just girls. I haven't been attracted in any guys including Landon in a while so consider this as me coming out as lesbian
J: Well i'm proud of you, but please hope
Josie holds Hopes hands
Hope pulls away
H: I got to go.
J: Hope please I'm sorry
Hope stops and puts her hand on Josies waist
H: We will always be best friends no matter what, but you love finch and this experience made me realise that I'm a lesbian. So I'm glad this happened
Hope then pecks Josie on the cheek
H: Bye
Hope then walks away

The grill
8pm

They're both sitting down at a booth
H: So tell me about yourself?
V: Well I'm 22, I'm doing online college to be an microbiologist and to pay for that I work as a bartender.
H: At the bar I met you at?
V: No no I don't pick up girls at the bar I work at.
H: Hmm. Also why do you do online college?
V: Oh because I really like mystic falls. In fact when I graduate I already have an internship at the Mystic Falls Biology lab lined up
Hope puts her hand on Valeries
H: That's uh really cool.
V: Tell me about yourself?
H: I'm 19 I go to college at the Salvatore School to be a uh Parapsychologist.
V: What's that?
H: It's the study of supernatural stuff
V: That's very interesting. So you're a believer?
H: Yeah I am
H: What am I doing? Oh me believing in supernatural stuff won't make her think anything
H: I'm guessing you're not?
V: Oh I'm a believer
H: Really?
V: Yeah, not only am I believer I've been attacked by a vampire
Hope chokes on her drink
H: What?
V: Oh yeah. It was about two years ago. He bit into my neck in the middle of town square at night after I had been out at the grill. He then looked into my eyes and told me to forget so I think vampires may have some ability but I wonder why it didn't work. Anyway when I went to the sheriff he just told me I was crazy. But he seemed really pissed. I was suspicious of him after that and most times he came into the grill he gave the owner some herb stuff so I followed him around got some of the herbs and sent it to a lab and it was something called vervain. I looked into vampire folklore and it is used to stop vampires from controlling your mind or feeding on you so I went deep into the black market and bought a ton and now I take it at the start of everyday.
H: Holy shit this is bad. Wait how I was able to feed and compel her two days ago and compel her this morning.
V: Although there has been a few times where I ran out of vervain.I'm actually out of it right now. I need to start ordering some in time. I don't ever tell anyone that I'm a believer but since you study that stuff I thought why not.
H: Wow, that's really interesting. My parapsychology mind is going crazy right now.
V: Well I'm glad
Valerie starts rubbing Hopes thigh
V: You know I wouldn't mind having some more fun tonight.
H: I would love that.
H: Ugh what's the point of doing this. I have feelings for Josie. It's so unfair. Everything bad that could possible happen has happened to me. My mum! My dad! Uncle Elijah! I just can't. Josie practically rejected me after sleeping with me!!!

At that very moment something inside Hope clicked. Her humanity wasn't off but there was less of. She felt less guilt less everything except how she felt for Josie. That stayed the same.

Later that night

H: So wanna go back to my school?
V: I thought they weren't big on visitors
H: I checked and they're cool with it
