Chapter 4 - Early Morning

~ Time lapse : Day before Aptitude Testing ~

Candy's POV

I have been laying awake in my bed the whole night. I'm so nervous about tomorrow. That's the day we are going to take our tests. Even if I know that I can choose what ever I want I also know that my test result will be very important. 95% pick the faction that the test gives them.
Today is our last real school day, so I decide to get up early. I want to make this day something special. I'm going to wear only black clothes, even if I am Erudite. I'm going to show everyone where I would like to belong.
After I have got dressed I walk to the kitchen to grab some breakfast. My sister London is already there, reading the newspaper. I ask her if she would walk to school with me today. She smiles and nods. I see the makeup on her face. I wich I was so good at that kind off stuff as she is.
When I have eaten my fruit salad I start going back to my room to grab all school stuff when a voice interrupt me "Wait! Could you please take my books too?" London asks. "Why? We have still two hours before school begins." "Yes. But I really want to be on time." I nod as I walk upstairs to my room (we used to chare but when Gabrielle left Erudite I got her room). After I found all my books I go to London's. Her school bag lies well-organized on the bed. I take it with me as I walk back to the kitchen.
A half hour later we arrive to School Central. I look at London and wonder why she wanted to be here so early. Well, she is Erudite after all so maybe she just wanted to go to library before the lessons begin. But at the same time as when I open my mouth to ask if I could come with her she starts to talk: "Sorry Candy but I really need to go and meet someone. I promise to see you in front of the biology class ten minutes before school begins!" As I just stand watching her she begins to run to the opposite side of school. I think about following her...but it would be wrong. Guess it's not really my bisnes what she's doing, so I decide to just go and sit on a school bench and think about all of this.

Things have changed so mutch since last month. After that day on the Dauntless train. After my decision to go and meet that girl from Dauntless. I start thinking back...

~back to that evening~
I jump off the train with shaking legs. Well, at least I did make it all whitout help this time... As I keep thinking I hear a girl voice "Where are your mind flying?" I look up and see the Dauntless girl from train.. together with two other girls. "Hi" I answer, sounding everything else but smart. "So I will be teach you how to fight" she continues. I hope she didn't noticed what I said. "Thank you" "Don't thank me yet. Now, lets start practising punches. You can start with some easy one. My friends Kayla and Tresia will help you" she says while she starts showing me some easy moves."Besides, my name is Avery. Welcome to Dauntless practise!"
~Back to present~

...I have been training every evening with Avery and her friends. Yesterday we did some real fighting and I nearly won Kayla. Sadly, in last minute she punched me in my face and my nose started bleeding. But it was definitely worth it.
To be honest I am surprised that no one has noticed me being away. But my parents has so mutch work to do and my younger siblings are never home either. London again has act so strangely that she has no right to complain about my acts.
I'm still not chore about my choise. I could pick Dauntless.. but also Erudite. Even if I really don't want to stay in the same faction with my parents I also know that if I leave I gonna miss them really mutch.
I have been thinking for a long time now and I realize that the school will begin in 15 minutes. I start walking to the biology class....

I also would like to know what you think about the lenght of chapters. Should I make them shorter/longer?
