I opened up the messages app as I heard her car leave the driveway
Autumn: Hey she just left
Kai: great, I'll be there in 5
Autumn: cant wait! see ya soon :)
Kai: see ya :)
I found myself smiling at his texts. I sighed and put the phone away. I decided to change my outfit. I put on some baggy jeans with a gray sweater. Something casual to not seem as if I was trying to impress him.
knock knock knock
He's here.
I ran to open the door, he stood there with his cheeky smile. His fluffy brown hair covered his big brown eyes. He was dressed in a gray hoodie with sweatpants.
Shit. Now I seem like I'm a bit much.
"You ready?" He said as he moved his hair outta his face.
"Yep. Let's go" I say as I walk out.
We get into the car and buckled up.
"So your mom is gone all weekend right?"
"Yeah, it's to see some family I think."
"Why didn't you wanna go?" He said giving me a side eye
I couldn't manage to answer.
"keep ur eyes on the road."
...
"Where are we?" I say as I unbuckle.
"Come on, I'll show you" he said as he flashed a smile again. It almost made my heart skip a beat.
We walked out the car and he held my hand pulling me towards the swings.
"Really? The park?" I said as he sat me down on the swing next to him.
"Come on dude, it's just a normal friend handout."

God that word pisses me off.
"Yeahh" I say in response as I slowly swing back and forth.
He tries to cover up the silence by asking how my day was.
I hate small talk.

"Autumn. Autumn. AUTUMN!"
"Huh- oh what sorry I zoned out."
truth is, I was day dreaming. About Kai duh.
"Haha ur cute, what was on ur mind?" He said leaning in towards me. He. Was. So. Close.
I start feeling red and back away.
"Nothing, let's go on a walk." I say looking down. I was too shy for this type of stuff.
We walk together and I start to shiver a bit. Fuck. Of course I forgot a jacket.
"Hey, you good?" He says. He noticed it.
"Yeah I'm fine." I'm not.
He paused, took off his hoodie and stood in front of me.
I looked up at him. He bent his back a bit to move his head close to mine.
I'm turning red again. He keeps getting close.
"Take it, I'm not cold"
I punch his arm and walk around him.
He grabbed my arm and pulled me close. What the hell? What's this dude trying to peck at?
"Let's just get home" I say trying to get away from him before I start to blush again.
We walked back to my house and open up the front door.
...
"I'm going to the bathroom, you can just chill in my room" I said grabbing my pajamas.
"Nice" he said plopping on my bed.
I change into my clothes in the bathroom and walk in on him smiling at his phone.
I will admit, I got mad assuming he was texting a girl.
"Why are you smiling?" I say
"Nothing" he said as he looked up at me.
He's pissing me off now. I sat down next to him and scroll through insta.
I start to doze off and decided to just close my eyes for a bit.
