Jonathan's POV

After getting a call, I drove to a restaurant. I don't know why we have to meet at a local restaurant, but I don't call the shots. That's why I am having this meeting. Even though I own a huge company, this offer may help me get noticed.

I nervously got out of my car and walked inside. The man at the front desk asked, 'Hello, do you have a reservation?'

'Uh, yeah! It should be under "Thomas Michaels"?'

'Ah, yes. The rest of your party hasn't arrived, but the table is already. Please follow me!'

I followed him to a table that seemed to be cornered off a little. I guess that is a good thing. That way no one can eavesdrop on our conversation. We don't need any screaming kids near us or any people coming up to us, asking us how the food is.

I sat down and the guy set down a few menus, a few sets of cutlery and some condiments. 'Once the rest of your party arrives, I will get one of the waitresses to come over and serve you!'

'Thank you!' He walked away. Luckily, I didn't have to wait very long. Mr Michaels and another man walked over to us. I shot up from my chair and held my hand out. 'Mr Michaels, it's nice to finally meet you!'

'I can say the same!' He shook my hand and the three of us sat down. 'Oh, this is my assistant. Max Davis, meet Jonathan Hunt. He is here to observe.' Before we could begin talking, a beautiful and hot waitress walked up to us with a jug in her hands.

'Hi! My name is Roseanna, I'll be your waitress for today. Can I offer some ice water while you chose what food and drinks you will be having?'

'Please.' She brought over three glasses and started to pour in the liquid. She stopped when another waitress walked up to her and whispered something in her ear. Seconds later, a scream echoed through the restaurant. She dropped the jug and ran to the kitchen. There was water and ice all over the table and all over us. The jug clattered onto the floor. It's clear that whatever the other waitress told Roseanna, deeply scared her.

A few seconds later, she walked out holding a small girl. She seemed to be checking her over, stopping at her hands. It looked like she was talking, but I was too far away to hear. After a few minutes, she asked one of the other waitresses something and then walked over to us. She got a cloth and started to clean up the water.

'I am so sorry about that. If you want me to get you another waitress, I completely understand why. I truly and deeply apologise. There was a little incident that I had to deal with, but I can promise that it has been sorted.'

'It's fine. What was the incident?' Mr Michaels asked.

'It's nothing to worry about, sir. I am sure you won't want to hear about it. Have you decided on any drinks or food, or do you need more time?'

'I think we need a bit more time. But I would like to know what the issue was.'

'My daughter snuck into the kitchens and burned her hands, she's only three.'

'Daughter? You look too young to have a kid. Is she ok?'

'Yes, thank you. I will leave you to pick your drinks and food. Call me over when you're ready.' She walked away. She walked over to a small desk and began to look at some papers.

'Order anything you want. It's on me.'

'Mr Michaels, I can't let you do that.'

'You can and you will, Mr Hunt. Mr Davis, can you give Mr Hunt the menu and the plans, please?'

'Yeah, of course, sir.' He gave me the menu and a couple of pieces of paper.

Once the three of us had chosen what we wanted, Mr Michaels called Roseanna over. 'We are ready to order now.' She pulled out a small notebook and a pencil.
