THIS IS A SNEAK PEAK, AS I AM STILL WRITING THIS STORY

This boy. I glare at him, my bare feet stuffed into the mud. It was a groggy day out, the kind of days I like because people are too depressed to talk to me. Just because of some rain. Though I get an advantage from it, I still hate the rain myself. It gives off a negative feeling. A small gust of wind curls my hair.

"Don't tell her......" He pauses, looking at me pleadingly. "...please?"

I scoff and roll my eyes. I turn around to walk away. This guy did something really stupid. He stole something from the kingdom. I don't really care though. The town doesn't even know yet, and I live on the sides of the kingdom. My little hut with my cat. Most girls would stay home, scared of their petty little dresses getting muddy or ruined, but I don't even wear a dress. It's a hassle and doesn't even make you look too pretty. What I wear? It's just a small little pelt covering my legs, because wearing pants like men can, would be, "improper." Most people are scared of me. I don't care.

"Caroline!-" He tugs my arm. I jolt. Except him.

"Ghh!" I let out a groan.

"Do you promise to keep it a secret?" He pleads once more. I smile smugly and look back at him. He creases his brow. He was asking me because my sister had a lot of relevance to the king and queen. She basically works for them. I would too but I don't want to. I hate the kingdom. It's why I live on the border. Barely in the kingdom or city, but still in contact with my sister, Erica.

".....maybe." He lets go frowning. I keep walking, clutching the fruits I bought to my stomach, the bow and arrows strapped to my back clicking as I take steps forward.

I suspect he has a crush on me. I don't like him back though. I don't like love. I sigh, tilting my head up to catch the slight sprinkles of rain dotting my face. I don't smile. Just a pleasured frown. I can feel my feet start to get cold. I frown even more, bringing my head back down. Great. The stupid rain will put out the fire. I might have to build something sooner or later to go over my hut. I soon arrive in the grassy meadow.

I see my cat hissing and staring out into the rain. It doesn't like rain. No one likes rain. The noise starts to fade out and the rain replaces it. I'm fine with nature noise though, it's like a calming ambience. Soothing to the ears. I arrived at my hut, it was just a small wooden shack with no door. All open with a back and a left and right side. I huff and throw down the fruit. Sitting on the comfy cushion my sister Erica gave me. "Hey Tesha..." I picked up my cat, she was pretty gray. I found her abandoned by the woods, the woods are very far from here, it was a special little trip I was taking.

I named her Tesha, meaning survivor. To symbolize my lifestyle. Her fur was still moist, I sigh and bring her up to my chest. It helps me, cats calm me. They kind of have the same personality as me. Everyone always liked Erica when she was little, more than me. At one point one woman did understand me and said my spirit animal was a cat. Although I don't believe in the stuff. It's all myths and fairytales. I purse my lips. *Meow.* The cat purred as I stroked her, and I set her down. I take a rabbit from my prey bag, and lay it on the small fire. I blow on it to make it a bit more strong, the flame only increased some. I I can hear distant swishing of footsteps as the rain trickles down to the ground. Seeing whoever was walking to my hut, they were wearing a red flowy dress. Instantly I knew who it was, by the shape of her small petite figure. I stand up, gazing at her. My sister. She rushes to my hut, picking up her dress and holding her hat to her head. I almost laugh, how amusing. She did act like a princess. Very much so. I however, just wasn't cut out to be one. "Oh my goodness Caroline!! Are you," She cuts the sentence off with a gasp. "ok?!"
