How many years has it been...500? 1000? Honestly, you don't even think to count when you're trapped in eternal hell.
"Whaaat? You're leaving? What could be so urgent..." Jaimaz pouted
"I apologize for leaving so suddenly, I'll make it up to you, I promise." Uriel reassured him with a calm voice, considering the circumstances he's in.
All Jaimaz did was nod disappointingly
"Alright...I'll try talking to the other angels again, maybe this time..."Uriel gave him a small smile before he disappeared into nothingness.
....
"That was fast" said a raspy voice
"I teleported a great distance, I'll need to sit down for a moment, Astaroth..."
"...As to why I called you here, I need you to look at this." Astaroths eyes tightened.
"Demons of the Hell Realm, we request an audience with your leader, as to we have important information we need to relay to you. Please refrain from sending more than 2 demons, we want to discuss this private manner peacefully and not cause a ruckus in the holy halls. The meeting will be held tomorrow at dawn. We will send guards to escort your chosen participants.
May we all stay blessed.""Thought you'll know something about this" Astaroth signed tiringly.
The more Uriel read the more confused he looked.
"I...I haven't heard of this...Why haven't they informed me?" he sweated.
"Beats me...This can't mean anything good..."
They both stood in silence for a solid minute, before Uriel stood up hurringly and looked over Astaroth with a determined face.
"We shouldn't worry, although they may not be the brightest of minds, I doubt they'll try anything reckless as to how things are now. Listen, I'll go spy on the meeting as an attendant and I'll inform you of what I've gathered."
"Sounds like a solid plan to me" Astaroth smirked.
Tomorrow Midnight....
CRASH
"Uriel? You're already back."
Astaroth looked at Uriel's face. He was panting and sweating profusely. Just what the hell happened on that meeting to make him be this way?
"Ast...Astaroth, you won't believe it...."
"Hey hey, catch your breath first. Here, sit on this chair"
Uriel fell on the chair as if he ran a marathon just now. He calmed down after a bit.
"Now, what the hell happened there?"
Uriel cleared his throat and fixed his composure.
"Good news and bad news... Which do you want to hear first?"
"Start with the good news, really need some at the moment"
"Yes, okay...So, the good news is...No one has seen God for over a decade now, Michael being his most trustworthy Angel decided to open the heavenly gates leading directly to Gods throne and... " Uriel's face darkened
"He was gone, no trace was found, not even a message..."
Astaroth was not expecting THAT. He had a hard time processing this information. I mean, God? Gone? Just like that?
"And...what are the bad news?"
"Michael is in charge of all angels now. Although he's not a replacement for God, he's still the one in charge of the whole realm now."
"Which means...nothing good awaits us, I'm surprised he hasn't exterminated the whole Hell Realm by now." Astaroth sighed hopelessly
He looked over to Uriel who was still making that face as if he's upset over God disappearing. Its what he also wanted or not? What's he so upset about...
"I apologize about my reaction, its just I still can't comprehend this whole situation... How does a God just disappear? Did he abandon us?"
"Even when you're like this, you still ask way too many questions, you know that. Sadly I do not have the answers you seek either."
Astaroth looked over to Uriel again, but to his surprise Uriel was already looking over to him. They locked eyes together. What is this weird situation we ended up in...
"Hey... I was thinking. If God isn't among us anymore, does that mean we can do as we please? Although Michael might be in charge, he's got his own work and can't always tend to Heaven." Uriel's eyes looked lively again. Maybe he's fond of that idea.
"You do have a point, indeed. Perhaps we shall test your theory out? I have sinned enough, so its up to you as to how we proceed with this." He smirked
Uriel looked away with a nervous looking face. He murmured something way too quiet for anyone to hear.
"Its unusual for you to be like this. What is it?"
"I said I thought maybe we could try that...things humans do when they reproduce. Intercourse was it?
"Ahh, do you mean when two humans feel mutual attraction to each other and use their genital parts to express their...love to each other?"
"Yes, if we did that, we would be breaking two heavenly rules. First one would be sexual interaction with the same sex and second one would be using any sexual interaction whatsoever."
Although they didn't completely understand what intercourse was, it still made them feel a bit nervous for unknown reasons.
Astaroth who is always the calm and collected one kept feeling this weird sensation in his chest, as if something was kicking it. He knew thats where his heart was but the reason it did that remained unknown to him.
