LISA'S

"At last we're witnessing the death throes of the terrible syndicate lurking behind the shadow of South Korea's government." A newscaster from one of the most viewed stations within South Korea cited his report. It's been all around the news, Mr. Jang's lab has been raided upon Captain Park's lead. The pharmaceutical company everyone least expected to commit such wrongdoings was out in the open. People who have a link to the aforesaid Pharmaceutical and the owner himself were considered as narco's accomplice and was seized upon the warrant.

Things to which almost no attention was paid before the operation we conducted are now closely scrutinized, along with the media focus on digging the rotting truth. Much to my delight, our hellish mission wasn't in vain beyond everything and was accomplished with satisfaction. And, I thank God for that.

Here I am, currently slacking off watching the news with my back reclining against the couch,  feet raised, and were resting over the table. It is my 4th mundane day of bed rest, which wasn't necessary in my opinion. But, a certain doctor wouldn't let me off the hook from her nagging if I choose to report on duty. In the general run of things I would appreciate more being alone and would even celebrate. Things change, I was more than glad to have Jennie around. It if weren't for Jennie I would've been bored to death. Yeah, she also took an off and treat me like a disabled person. That I happen to find the excessive nursing amusing. Why so? Well, I still can perfectly land a punch on whoever picks a fight with me. Moreso, I like the fact that someone is much willing to render her time and take care of me. Then again, it wasn't necessary. How ungrateful of a being am I?

In to the present, the enjoyment I had been blocked off, literally block off. Jennie was standing all in her gloriousness, still on her peach coloured two-piece silk PJs, and is hindering the tv screen from my view. Arms bridge across her belly.

"What's up with that?" I slowly glance up, boring my manacing eyes directly at her feline one, "Manners woman. I'm watching the news."

"Lisa your car is total wrecked." she must've seen the unrecognizable Targa on the garage. Jisoo delivered it earlier, the original plan was to take the car to the repair shop yet I disregard the idea. It would cost a fortune bringing it back to the original. My only option now is to buy a new one.

"I know..."

She snorts, and plonk her body next to me, casually dangling her uncovered leg up on my own. Mindlessly brushing her forefoot against the skin of my shin and curling her toes with mine, before she scoffs and mutters, "Unbelievable."

I didn't give out a response, she turn to face me and studied my features, "You seem pensive? What's playing on your mind? Tell me you're not planning on running off and going on a frenzy fit again throwing criminals behind bars, right Lisa?" I sort of laugh at that, internally. Contrastingly, Jennie knitted her brows together as she took the probably deep in thought look about my face.

I would have said, You Jennie, relentlessly bugging my mind, testing my control, but I settled on a notion that wouldn't make me sound like an idiotic person admitting the fact openly, "No, I was just thinking that I owe my life to that car. Targa spares my life from those bullets. Imagine if those holes were drilled in my body instead of the car. You wouldn't be abusing me now, clinging to me like a koala."

She made face and dismiss my remark by hauling out her phone, and shuffling on it. I stared at her amused. Hence, she scooted closer flushing her brasserie-free breast right at the length of my arm resting her chin just about the arch of my shoulder. Whether it was one of her schemes or she was just too lax about me feeling her. Either which from the two syntheses the conclusion would always lead to my disoriented state. Every time I felt her touch against my skin, it triggers all the alarms. And right at this very moment, I'm barely holding on.
