Fire and Destruction.

That's what everyone sees first. The admiration or hatred, that's what I see first. The gift from my ancestors is what my parents say.

How does an aptitude for greatness and affection attract jealousy and hostility? Honestly, I would do better without the damned gift, way better actually. I let out a heavy breath. I opened my eyes to be greeted by vibrant and luscious grass, the kind that you would imagine in your dreams of your future home. A blue sky, a beautiful color of bright blue but lighter, something like candy. It seems sweet and happy. The wind that carries any and all secrets of our past and worries. The heat that burns everything that is too weak. For now it will guide me and my steed to the comfort of shade from the warmth. We sat under a tree for a while eating the apples and sweets I brought for our ride.

My horse nickered. It's time to end our walk. As I always do, I jump on her and draw in my feet--turning around. We started with a smooth gallop, maybe even a canter. I didn't want to reach home too quickly; with all the hustle and bustle going around. I even have a headache thinking about it. I dropped the reins, letting Kalda do the riding for now. Commoners would love this life, wouldn't they? A big breakfast in the morning, a nice snack in the afternoon, maybe even a nap. My thoughts carried on as we got closer to the usual source of my headache, the place I call home. I always wished for more time to myself and of course that will never be.

We got to her stable and we parted ways for a time. I headed for my palace. On my way I heard the gentle breath of my dearest friend, or more like a sister. I stopped and turned, her brown hair bounced in the wind, well it was more like a chocolate brown but closer to a terrible burnt toast brown. Her golden eyes flashes even brighter in the sun, almost as if they were honey. I never understand why my parents wish to hide them. They are so beautiful. "I thought mother and father said to always have your contacts in," I smirked at the possibility of catching her disobeying the my parents rules.

She griped the edges of her dress and dip her knees quickly--then ran to my side, "my lady," I scoffed and rolled my eyes in annoyance. "If you don't mind my tongue, your loyal servant must remind you that it is when people are around" she checked the time and looked around, "and now is about time you come back late... and know that no one ever comes here anyway." She scrunches up her nose. "They're too terrified of the rumors about you to come here; it's too close to your palace." she laughed slightly. I started my way once again.

What she means to say is that my room is too far from the main palace for people to come back and forth and I won't force them to. To give insight, the village is separated from the main palace where all the meetings and shit are held but its surrounded by metal like substance walls and a stone gate for easier passage than a something similar than what the walls of it are.

The main palace is right behind that which is guarded by yet another barrier similar to the villages but stronger. That is where my mom and dad-- the King and Queen live. But, where I stay in my down time is even farther. Mines had to be built so most things in it were more modern and wasn't as ancient as the things in the main palace and village, which I did envy.

"Well whatever. Why did you come here anyway?" I questioned.

Gaining speed next to me,"That's because you have a meeting to go to and I'm here to make sure you get there. As your Lady in Waiting, Head Maid, and Lady of Chambers." She complained while listing the titles on her fingers one by one."Oh and please hurry, I am quite busy with all these responsibilities my wonderful lady scarlet has bestowed upon me!" she shouted. I quickened my pace up the small hill. I clicked my tongue in annoyance.
