Again the voice came, calling to him, asking him for help. Ken kept his eyes shut and his ears open. It was the same voice, of a girl, who sounded so sad, seeking justice. This time she told him that she was raped and left for dead, in this room where Ken was sleeping. She even described the man who had raped her, in frightening details, so that he would recognize him if ever he did meet him. The man was English, a military type, had a moustache, and most important, he had a birthmark, shaped like an eagle. When he was on top of her, she had somehow noticed this dark colored eagle like shape, just behind his balls.

The last of the three- day- holiday, and Ken was determined to make the best out of it. He entered a coffee shop but had to share a table with two other men. There were so few shops open because it was still the Chinese New Year holidays.

"Three girls raped and murdered now," the men were talking. "The first was about five years ago, but now again, with the same MO."

Ken started asking them questions because he was sure one of the girls they were talking about was his ghost.

"Yes, five years ago, the first girl was killed in a big house, but her body was never found."

Andrew Hurst was packing his things in the office. There was an excited smile on his face, and he couldn't stop thinking of the journey ahead. Together with his best friend Jonathan, they would soon be leaving and going home.

The two men were alike in many ways. They had the same built and were in the army together. Their friendship went back many years, even to the same county in England where they were born. Both their families had homes in St. Leonards, Sussex, and they had attended Hasting College of further education.

It had been a wonderful six years out here in the orient, and Andrew was grateful for the opportunity that the company had given him. There were certainly many things that he will never forget and some things that he would always keep a secret.

However, unlike his friend Jonathan, Andrew was more reserved, preferring to spend time alone. He didn't socialize as much but was well liked in the office where he was a senior manager.
