Footsteps could be heard moving up the stairs, and a woman emerged, her black hair swaying as she walked to her children's room.

"Aphmau, Allen." The woman called from the door.

The woman heard her sleepy daughter whined 'noooo...' from the other side of the door, who was obviously still very sleepy, as well as a groan of annoyance from her son, who is always grumpy when woken up early.

"Allen, aphmau, get up! Come on!" the woman barged into the room, her voice motherly but stern.

"Mom, just like five minutes and we promise we'll get up..." Aphmau mumbled, while the woman son hummed in agreement and wrapped himself in his dark purple blanket.

"You two always say that, and it ends up taking twenty minutes, if not the 'whole day,'" the woman asserted.

"Now get your butts out of bed," the woman said sternly.

"OK, OK. We're awake," Allen grumbled grumpily.

"But we only need like, five minutes to rest our eyes..." aphmau mumbled, as both twins began to doze off.

"Fine. Sleep in. Such a shame you two are going to be late for your first day of high school and yesterday you two were so excited too... oh well," the mother of the two children sighed as she walked out of the room.

Both twins laughed silently, still dazed, "Mom, today isn't even-" Aphmau fell silent for a moment.

Both Allen and Aphmau gasp excitedly when they realized what day it was. "It's the first day of school, Allen!" Aphmau exclaimed to her twin brother, who threw his blacket off of him. "Yes it is! We nearly forgot!"

"Oh! I'm so excited!" Aphmau squealed, both twins jumped out of bed and ran to each other, holding hands and jumping up and down like crazy "Me too!" Allen's eyes sparkled.

"But I'm taking a shower first!" Allen called dibs and dashed to the bathroom, locking the door as his sister yelled at him, "No fair!"

...

Aphmau checked if everything was ready in their room, wearing their school uniform. "Backpacks? Check! Pencils? Check! Collagerule papers? Mm... check!" Her eyes landed on her stuffed animal.

"Uh- pft! No," Aphmau scoffed sarcastically, "I'm a highschool freshman now. I need to be cool." Allen rolled his eyes and crossed his arms, "Mhmm, sure," Allen said, earning him a glare from his sister, who turned back to her stuffed animal "Mmm... sorry, Honekoneko," Allen silently chuckled.

"Don't forget our uniform," Allen reminded. Aphmau looked down at her uniform and said, "Oh, yeah! That's a check!" She looked at her twin and said, "This is going to be awesome!" Allen laughed a little, "Yeah! I know! It's going to be our first day of high school!" Allen fist pumped the air.

"I can't wait to start classes and make a good first impression!" exclaimed Aphmau. "I know! We've been preparing all summer for this!" Allen chirped.

They went to school after dealing with some "issues," and Aphmau thought it would be a great idea to take a picture of her and her brother on their first day of high school and post it on Instagram.

Someone bumped into Aphmaus' shoulder, causing Allen to go into defensive mode, "Hey, watch where you're going!" Allen only received a low growl, and the person walked away.

Allen glared at them for being rude, and he heard Aph sigh, "Such a rude jerk! But anyway, uh, lets see, just want to make sure it was posted correctly," she said, and Allen gave her a "Really?" look, but Aph ignored it and checked.

"It's perfect!" Aphmau then put her phone away and said, "Let's go inside before we're late for our classes." Allen grabbed Aphmau and walked to the school's front door/gate.

Allen let go of Aph and tried to open the door, "Great, it's locked, I knew it would waste our time taking that picture, now we're going to miss our classes," Allen grumbled, Aphmau heard and panicked, "The doors are locked? How come the doors are locked, did they forget to open it on the first day?" Aphmau kept rambling while Allen was glaring at the door until someones voice reached their ear.
