Just a quick note:
This is a y/n story. I hope I kept it gender-neutral, if I didn't please let me know and I'll try and edit it as fast as possible.
For some context, you're a programmer in their early twenties working at the PizzaPlex for a summer job. This whole ordeal takes place during the same night as security breach, but I'm hoping for a happier ending because Bonnie + Freddy = super cute bromance that I can't get enough of.
~~~
Closing your car door, you hurried through the parking lot towards the massive Pizzaplex that stood in front of you. The warm summer breeze swept through the dark night as you passed through the entry doors. You maneuvered your way around the few lingering families that left with bags full of themed plushies, reusable soda cups, and Freddy-themed merch. Showing your company badge to the security guards at the front, you hurry through the entrance hall towards the elevators as the final evening announcement plays throughout the complex.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, thank you for visiting, and we hope you enjoyed the show. Freddy and the gang are pretty tired, but they'll be back again next week after a few days of scheduled maintenance. Please make your way to the front of the building, where you'll be given novelty glasses, a voucher for one free soda refill, and where you will sign a legal disclaimer releasing us for all liability for anything that might've happened during your visit."
"Have an awesome night, and we'll see you again soon!"
The legal disclaimer part of that announcement never failed to make you feel unnerved. What could've happened here that made the company think forcing every guest to sign an NDA would be necessary?
The elevator dings, and you manage one step out of the elevator into the decked out atrium before being stopped in your tracks by a robot. Specifically, that goddamned map-bot.
"Hi! Please take this map."
You flinch so hard you almost fall backwards. "Oh my shit..." you curse under your breath. No matter how many times you came in for your nightly shift, that map bot would never cease to scare you.
"Alrightly, where're we going tonight?" You mutter to yourself while you pull up your phone, looking to see what task you've been assigned by management to take care of. You'd heard rumors that an animatronic needed reprogramming, would you be taking care of that tonight?
Sure enough, as you open the message from your boss, you read that you'll be reprogramming and checking Bonnie's chip to make sure he would be welcoming and non-violent towards guests, as he'd been out of commission for quite a while.
Actually, you wondered why Bonnie had been taken out in the first place. He'd been out since early March, according to your coworkers, and you had only started working here a month ago for a summer job. It didn't seem like it would be too intense of a job though, you'd only need to hook him up to your computer and run a couple of tests throughout the night.
With that, you put your phone back in your pocket and headed up towards the third floor of the atrium.
~~~
"How big is this place?" You thought to yourself, as you stepped off what seemed like the seventh escalator on your quest to find the bowling alley on the third floor. Looking around, you saw the large purple graphic titled "Bonnie Bowl" on the wall across the atrium, so you made your way over.
Stepping inside, you took note of the dark alley, noticing the eight lanes which all had their own animatronic theme to them. Before you could take another step forward though, you were stopped by a security bot, which awkwardly held you in place by your sweatshirt. However, you quickly pulled out your company lanyard and flashed your badge at the bot and it released you, scurrying off to patrol a different area in the large arcade area.
