Sundrop was helping the kids up the slide as he noticed a flickering light at the far corner of the room. His mind then flashed of an image of the figure he most feared. The monster that appeared when the lights went dark.

When everything went dark; Moon.

He snapped back as soon as he realized the child had went down the slide and the next one was awaiting his turn. The children all were down the slide as the timer rang for balloon animals with googly eyes and glitter glue.

When walking to the art station, he looked back at the light in the corner; it was normal, no longer flashing.

'Weird,...' he thought, 'probably a lighting error, I'll tell Vannessa later.'

He brushed it off and continued to the art station.

As the kids left, Sundrop flew up to his booth.

As he entered, he turned around, beginning to close the curtain, he looked at the corner again; the light had gone out completely.

Next to it, in the darkest part of the corner, he swore he saw two red lights as a chuckle behind him began.

He closed the curtain quickly before spinning his torso around to face the sound. He saw nothing and the chuckling stopped.

He set into a slight panic running to his section to get rid of the glitter glue and googly eyes on him.

As he sat down in front of his mirror and began picking off the glue and eyes; he sees a figure behind him.

'Vannessa? Is that you?'

Silence, and then-............his voice.

"Ha. I thought you'd remember your good old pal?" Moon said. Sun's spikes sunk into his head as his head drooped. "Moon!?" Sun exclaimed.

"I thought you were only supposed to come when the lights were off?" Moon slowly creeped up to Sun's booth, resting his hands on his former partner's shoulder. "Things change."

Sun's spikes shot up in fear as he spoke, "But how? That makes no sense!"

"Maybe the kiddies like me more." Moon lifted his hands up and patted Sun's head softly.

"It's always been this way; I'm surprised you didn't catch on faster." Sun dropped his head again as Moon continued to speak, "Everyone is tired of you, Sunny..." He pauses and backs into the darkness and then continues to speak.

"...just give up already, retire."

"Sundrop?" A familiar voice asks from his doorway. Sun lifts his head and quickly looks over to see Vanessa.

"Oh. Hello." Vanessa walkes over to him with a concerned look, poking his spikes. "Looks like someone's feelin' down. Are you okay? I heard you talking to someone."

Sun pushed his spikes out further, almost in a defensive manner. "I was perfectly fine; I was testing out my voice box, it sounded weird this morning."

Vanessa gave a small glare at Sun, "Defensive much?" Sun shook his head and picked off more glue, shooing her away.

Vanessa let out an offended gasp, "Gee, I feel sooo loved right now! Sorry for trying to HELP you." She quickly left the booth, leaving him all alone again.

He glanced out to the daycare, seeing the grand display of him and Moon. "Why can't things just stay the same?"
