Chapter 19: His and Her Butler Merrymaking

"Look, I see one of the villagers now!" Finnian excitedly jumps out of the carriage, and points to an old woman in wraps strolling along, with a baby carriage.

"Tanaka stop the carriage!"he cries out in such awe

"Finnian I wouldn't do that...she probably doesn't-

Rushing away, with little chance to hear my say so, he ignorantly heads straight forward to the frail woman, and her child. Doesn't he remember his abnormal strengths can harm just about anything and anyone.

"Want her child..to get  murdered..." I sigh, pinching the bridge of my nose in frustration.

"Doesn't he remember his abnormal strengths can harm just about anything and anyone."  there was no point in whispering, but i unconsciously had done so.

Letting him do whatever he wanted, the rest of us just sat back, and watched the whole thing unravel...

So here we are in Houndsworth, it is a very...unsettling little town of villagers...but I do hope that we are able to do whatever it takes to help it at least. The town and it's people sure do need it anyways...but that's only half of their problem. It's very foggy and dim..which makes the towns people an easy target...not to mention the reputation, that this town has earned itself.

No wonder why the queen was so urgent, and didn't hesitate to send us to this unfortunate place...

"Finny, no! Be careful with the baby, you can't be too rough or-

Finnian, and his immense strength...yeah let him handle a baby won't you...

"What?"

When I finally regain interest in what was going on, my eye-sight locked onto

Finnian, who had the child pram swung up so high, that it could have already launched the infant into oblivion.

"You're..."

I placed both palms over my face, flustered...annoyed, then turned back to Ciel who then sighed but  continued  to watch anyways, both of us lost for words.

When the gardener realized that he was putting someone's child in danger, his face grew ten times paler, as he 'carefully' slammed the carriage hard onto the ground. Mind you, with the poor little baby still inside the carriage.

The woman had only seemed to remain unworried for her child's safety, she  kept her composure as the three gasped in worriment for the baby's well being.

Finnian lifts both hands back into the air, sweating up a fierce storm.

"I'm sorry!"

Mey Rin and Baldroy loom out of the carriage to check on the baby who didn't seem to make any kind of noise. Not any goo's or gaga's or any kind of laughter or even cries for it's bottle of spoiled milk. Though I doubt it has any...knowing Finny, he isn't that  gentle....

"Is the baby okay!?" Mey-Rin asks, concerned.

As all eyes were now focused on the baby, including mine, that's when the answer to Mey Rin's question was soon revealed. The tender baby had been wrapped in cloth so delicately by her grandmother, had actually been the remains of a dead animal's skeleton.

I watched the old woman, who's eyes were dull and lifeless, as she stared at the skeleton. "It was eaten...by it."

As she strolled away with the carriage, my three petrified stricken servants attitude had completely changed. Not shortly after, the woman and her 'child left the carriage behind, as she hummed  a cryptic lullaby song.
