Up until the second Sunday of July of my sixth year on the planet Earth, I thought my father was the best spy at the CIA. To be fair, he had one real talent; making himself look good. Everyone thought that he was the best spy at the CIA. I, Erica Daisy Hale, was sitting in the passenger's seat of my dad's fancy-ass car, driving home from Toys-R-Us. My face was stretched into a radiant smile, my eyes glued on the princess Barbie my dad had bought me. It was the best day ever; I was sitting in a to die for car with a to die for doll and a to die for dad. Well, so I thought.

"Are you excited about your new doll pumpkin?" he asked me, flashing his signature smile.

"So excited. Now I can dress her up and send her on covert missions to invade Buckingham Palace! While wearing a beautiful princess dress of course." I also smiled at my daddy, showing my two missing front teeth.

"Sounds like fun Erica!"

"Daddyyyy. Remember, I'm not Erica! I'm princess Buttercup, and I rule the land of the royal spies!" My dad nodded, playing along.

"Of course you are princess Buttercup."

"Can we listen to music?" I asked, giving my biggest puppy dog eyes. My father laughed.

"How could I say no to that face?" he reached for a radio knob right as we turned into the driveway of our quaint little home. Then there was an explosion. Through my icy blue eyes I saw two balls of fire erupt out of the front of the car and collide with the front of the house. I heard my father yelling curse words; most of which I shouldn't have known the meaning for. And then it hit me. What kind of idiot would forget which knob was the real radio knob and which one could fire heavy artillery into rush hour traffic? Certainly not the best spy at the CIA. But it couldn't be, could it? In the midst of all the chaos I turned to my father, eyes narrowed and arms crossed.

"Wow. I can't believe you lied to me."

"Lied- lied to you?!" Alexander was panicking. "about what?!"

"Your not the best spy at the CIA. You, Alexander Hale, are a fraud."
