Chapter 12

(Eliza's POV)
Alex is asleep so John and I cuddle on the couch to watch another movie. We both got 2 weeks off to prevent Alex from hurting himself more and we can take more time off when necessary. 

 “What movie this time?”, John asks me. “Uhm- big hero 6”, I say. He nods then puts the movie on. It would be really cool if baymax existed in real life, if he did we might have to invest in that.

"You remind me of Honey Lemon." John says with a light chuckle. I giggle a little. "If I'm Honey Lemon then you're Fred!" I say then start laughing even more. John has to hold me so I don't fall off the couch.

 “Careful there sweetheart don’t need you getting injured too”, John says. “I’m being careful”, I say while still laughing. Oh wait, maybe we should quiet down so we don’t wake Alex up. I mean this is really the first time we’ve seen him sleep since that one night and the office.

I cuddle up to John again and lean my head on his chest. "I like it when you call me sweetheart." I say quietly and hugs him.

 “Then I can call you that more often”, John says quietly. “I’d like that”, I say. He nods and pulls me closer. “I wonder why Disney always has to kill someone off”, John says. “I’ve never thought about that”, I respond.

"At least it's not always an old person." John says. "What do you mean?" "Y'know in Moana, they kill off Grandma Tala. And in Vivo they killed off the old man. And in Encanto they killed off Abuelo Pedro? And all the music is by one person! I think he's doing that on purpose."

 “Are you blaming him for the deaths?”, I ask. “Yes I am”, John responds. “He wrote the songs and he decided their fate.” “He only wrote the music, not the movies”, I argue back. “You never know”, John says.

I give up. I'm not going to win this argument. I cuddle back into John's lap and try to finish the movie. "Hiro kinda reminds me of Alex…" I say quietly. John nods. "Yeah. Same height too." He jokes. I gently whack his chest. "I'm literally shorter than him!" I laugh. "But it's cute on you!"

 After a couple hours and movies later Alex joins us in the living room. “Good afternoon Sleeping beauty”, John says, reminiscent of the first day we worked with Alex.

Alex groans and flops on the couch with us. I smile and play with his hair a bit as we watch the 2015 Cinderella. "Who's that?" Alex asks as Kit appeared on the screen. "That's Kit AKA prince charming." John says.

 “He has a name-?”, Alex questions. “Yes he does”, I respond. “I’ve never understood this movie”, he says, “If everything is supposed to go back to normal at midnight then why don’t the glass slippers.” Well there’s 2 of them in the same room now who question Disney logic.

"Shush. Don't ruin disney for me." I say and put my finger over his lips. For once, both of them stop and just watch the movie. Hehe I feel powerful.

 We watch the movie without any input of Disney logic for once. It’s nice. “I’m getting coffee”, Alex says. “It’s 4 in the afternoon?”, I say. “And I just woke up”. He responds. Touché Alex touché.

"Wait-" John says as Alex leaves the room. He didn't hear him. "Y'know what, I won't tell him it's decaf." He sighs, making me laugh. "That's a horrible idea but ok." I whisper.

 Alex walks back in a moment later and asks, “Why’s the coffee taste weird.” I burst out laughing as John explains, “Its decaf Alex, there’s no caffeine in it.” “What kind of monster invented that”, he says making me laugh even more.

"John and I don't drink caffeine." I laugh and get up to hug Alex as an apology. He sighs and accepts my hug, leaving the coffee mug on the table.

 “I don’t understand how you two don’t drink caffeine though”, Alex says. I just giggle as we head back to the couch to continue watching the movie. “Wait Alex can we sign your cast?”, I ask.

"Um.. sure I guess?" Alex says and I grab a pen off the counter. I sign his cast, adding little hearts around my name. John comes over and does the same. "Wow this cast looks so cool." Alex says sarcastically.

 “You know everytime I have to get a cast they just get more annoying.”, Alex says. “Maybe stop jumping off of roofs then”, John says. “I’d have to side with John on this one Alex. If you don’t like casts then don’t do stuff that’ll cause you to need one”, I say.

"Don't use logic with me." Alex mumbles and goes to sit down. John and I join him and cuddle him. "We love you Lexi." I say and kiss his cheek.
