I never usually wake up at 4am on a random Sunday but I've decided to randomly get my life together while I have the chance, because after the mid term exam break is over, I'll only be focusing on school and nothing else. I can feel my eyes sting as I put on a pair of old socks. I need to wash my face and brush my teeth so I make my way across the house all the way to the bathroom trying not to make any sound; my movement is smooth because I know exactly what I'm doing and what I will be doing right after. Making daily schedules is something I've always been good at; I'm good at managing and planning things in general.
The cold water hits my skin once, twice, three times. It helps me wake up and feel more refreshed. Next I grab my black toothbrush; it's new so the bristles are still very stiff and a little too harsh on my gums. I wipe my face down with napkins instead of a towel because I never dry my face with a towel, only napkins.
The sunscreen feels smooth on my face and makes me look really pale; like I haven't slept in days. I change into my workout clothes; a black shirt and baby blue leggings, they smell like fresh laundry.
The clock says it's already 5am, subsequently I head down to the gym room that my dad had set up about a few months ago and is still addling new equipment to.
My legs are fast and controlled on the treadmill; I've done this a million times but I still feel refreshed after each run. Afterward I lay down my navy yoga mat and start my upper body workouts. This is the first time doing these exercises since my midterm exams have started. I'm aware of the soreness that will take place the next morning but quite frankly I like being sore, it feels like a reward. It feels like my body is acknowledging the work I'm putting in.
The clock says it's 6am even though it feels like it's been hours. My arm reaches for my big jug of water; the muscles are already sore. The water is crisp and cold; I love it. After drinking what seems like a quarter of the jug, I keep it in my hand and pick up everything else so I can head upstairs and slip into fresh new clothes that don't smell like... Sweat.
Studying, ah yes the thing I'm supposed to be doing however I got distracted by my phone and it's already 10am. "It's not that late" I tell myself "I'll start at 12pm" I promise myself... It's now 3pm. "Whatever I'm on my break anyway, I should be relaxing" I say, starting at my phone screen.
