Alec and Magnus have been together for a year without anyone besides Clary knowing. They started dating after Alec was almost killed. Everyone but Alec who was in his room was in the Institute when Magnus came in with a bloody nose and black eye. "Oh my nephilim, what happened to you?" Clary yelled as she made her way across the room to Magnus who was having difficulty making his way into the room safely without falling over anything. "A couple of werewolves got bored." Magnus replied as he sat down in a chair that Jace went and got for him. After he sat down Clary went to go get him an ice pack and Jace followed. "How do you really think he got that black eye?" Clary asked Jace. "I don't know Clary but Alec might". Jace said before kissing Clary quikly and then leaving the room to go talk to Alec. Jace and Clary have been dating since he found out that they are not really related to each other. "Ok." Clary whispered back to dazed to notice he already left. "Here you go." Clary said as she handed Magnus the ice pack. "Thank you Clary. How are you and Jace been doing these past few days? I know that Simon and Isabelle are dating now so yeah." Magnus said as he placed to ice pack on his black eye. "We are just fine." They made small talk til everyone left the room. "So how are you and Alec doing considering the forbidden thing and all?" Clary asked nervously cause it was a toushy subject to the two of them. Magnus gave out a sigh. "We are doing just fine but we dont like going behind everyones backs except for you. We have made and some other stuff but we haven't gone all the way cause we are afraid someone will notice cause of how happy we will be." Magnus finished as he removed the ice pack revealing the bluish color black eye. "Well I better go on up to my room. Hope your eye feels better in the morning Magnus."
Clary said as she got up from the chair and went to the door. "Bye and thanks for everything Clary." Magnus said as Clary left the room. As soon as Clary was out of the room and in her bedroom Alec came into the room where Magnus was in. "Hey baby I hope you don't mind seeing a black eye for a day." Magnus said as Alec sat down in the same chair Clary had just occupied. "Who did this to you my hot warlock?" Alec said as he gentley ran his fingers over the bruised area. "Some werewolves got bored and I was the only thing they thought would put up a fight." Magnus said as he grabbed the hand that was resting on his cheek and placed it on his chest where his heart was. "I missed you today." Alec said as he moved to sit down on Magnus's lap. "I missed you today too. And I was worried that you went on another hunt or something so I tried to get here as fast as I could but then I ran into those werewolves. And I ended up like this." Magnus said while pointing at his black eye and busted lip.
