Paula (Cashes)

It's been awhile since I been away from work. It's been me the kids, and Rolland.

Things have been going good for awhile, and I decided to keep Nina as my own.

I been through the process of social services and it was now going good.

Our only problem was to make her a room.

Rolland been back and forth from here and home from time to time. He decided to spend time with us.

Me and Laurel still don't get along. Her and him still dating, but he still on that i miss you bullshit. All I do is ignore it, because if he did he wouldn't even be dating her.

I realize that it's just time to move on and do me, dwelling on the past will just lower my hopes.

It's time for me to do my own things.

Right now we were watching the princess and the frog. Me Nina, and Bria.

They were over here talking about some firefly name ray or some shit.

I was to busy getting updates from Coco.

I was laying down when I got a call from my dad.

"Hello?"

"Baby girl." My dad said making me smile.

"Long time, no talk." I laugh into the phone.

"I miss you and my little Bria."

"Yo fault," I laugh "you the one that moved away."

"I know I know." He groaned "let me speak to my granddaughter." I gave the phone to Bria as Nina leaned on me. We were watching it quietly until Bria gave me the phone back.

"Hello?"

"Who is Nina? You having another baby?" My dad asked.

"No I adopted her." I say.

He sighed "if you barely at home with Bria what makes you think you can handle Nina?"

"Dad I got this. I know what I'm doing." I roll my eyes "Cassie watches the kids for me you already know."

"I'm just sayin' don't over work yourself alright? You own my warehouse. Where I started." He say.

"And I will hold it down." I say. He sighed. "What's wrong?"

"I never wanted you to do any of this." He say.

"I know you didn't."

"I don't want any of y'all to do it. Especially not my little Cassie," he say "You need to go to college. While your still young."

"I know I know," I sigh "I'm already to deep in the game though."

"You still can quit." His words processed in my head. I understand what he means, and he's right.

"When I'm ready okay?"

"I understand, but I got business to handle so I'll talk to you later."

"Alright, bye." I hung up laying down next to Bria.

==================

I was finished with the dishes. All the kids were sleeping for the time being and I was the only one doing something productive.

After finishing off I got a text from Natasha to meet her at Starbucks.

I replied with an Ok. I waited until Rolland pulled up.
