You're Mine

Chapter 1

"Lexi a group of people just sat down, could you go take their order?" My best friend Nina asked me with her famous puppy dog eyes.

" Nina you can't avoid taking people's orders forever." I laughed at her. I've been working at a small diner for about two years now. Nina is still a Senior in high school, she needed a little extra money so I suggested that she worked with me. Nina had blue eyes and long blonde hair that was to die for. Me? I had boring brown eyes and brown hair.

I looked over at the group of guys at the table and rolled my eyes. Now I see why she wouldn't go over there. They look like the typical bad boy group. I spotted one guy, he's in Nina's grade.

" Ah I see, you won't go cause Nicky is over there." I smirked that was her crush. I walked over to her and pushed her over to the table, ignoring her protests, and walked away laughing.

" Girl I can not believe you just did that" Sasha, the owner of the store, laughed. Sasha was like my second mother. She had red hair and dark brown eyes. " She has to grow up sometime." I shrugged looking at Nina trying to flirt with Nicky.

Sasha shook her head and laughed. Then suddenly he walked in. Just like he does everyday around 5pm.

He said down in his normal seat, in the corner of the diner with his back to the door. Since Nina was busy I had to go take his order.

My legs were shaking and my heart was beating so fast. " H-hi what can I get for you?" I studder. " Black coffee please" Caden smirked. I wrote down his order and walked away.

Caden is the guy I've had crush on since middle school. I've never told anyone not even Nina. He always come to the diner, I usually make Nina take his order. I can hardly get two words would and I always end up coming off as rude. I let out a breath I didnt know I was holding.

The rest of the evening went by fast. I was walking home in the dark that probably wasn't a smart idea. I pulled my phone out of my pocket, opening a message from Nina when all of the sudden I ran into a tree.

I looked up and it definitely was not a tree, it was the man himself Caden. I looked into his dark blue eyes, I couldn't seem to form any words. I just kept opening and closing my mouth trying to speak.

He grabbed my hand and pulled me back up to my feet. " Are you okay?" He chuckled. " Yeah, I'm okay, sorry I should have been watching where I was going." I finally said. He has this intense look in his eyes then it was gone.

" Don't worry about it. Have a goodnight Alexis." He smirked and walked away. No one calls me Alexis, it always Lexi.

That night I found it incredibly hard to fall asleep. I moved out of my parents house when school ended. I'm not used to it being so quiet.
