Capture the stars,
He told me one day.
Reign them in
From the depths of the universe.
And don't let them blow away.
Hold onto the stars,
He said to no one at all.
See them shine and shimmer
And watch as they
Burn and fall.
Darling, let go of the stars,
He whispered to thin air.
For they will find their way
Back to the heavens
And forever remain
