A week has passed and Jisung still hasn't popped the question. The timing just hasn't been right. Especially after Heeyeon's breakdown. He's decided to silence his feelings and focus on being there for Heeyeon. He and Chenle were really all she had here and from what he's put together, he can tell that Heeyeon has had a tough past.

Today, they would receive their exam scores and the three friends promised to share results with each other at Heeyeon's house.

Jisung pulled up and Chenle walked outside to greet the boy. "Hey, Jisung I think you should wait on asking her to be your girlfriend." Chenle whispered lowly. Even though Heeyeon was in her apartment, the door was still open and he didn't want to take any chances. "Why? Does she not like me?" Jisung panics.

"No, it's not that. I'm saying, I don't want you to rush into it. There's still a lot you don't know about Heeyeon or her past. Get to know her more and then you decide if you're ready to handle all of that. I can't help you any more than this, it's not my place to tell her business." Chenle advises. "Try a couple of dates first." He suggests with a reassuring smile.

He knew Chenle was right. Especially after Heeyeon had that meltdown at school. There was so much he didn't know about her.

Jisung ran his fingers through his hair and blew air out of his puffed cheeks. "Yeah, you're right. But, I'm not really that good at conversation. How do I get her to open up to me?"

"Make her feel comfortable and trust her. That's how you'll gain her trust." Chenle sighs as he tries to find an easier way of saying it. "It's like, whatever you do, she'll reciprocate. That's just the type of person she is."

"Alright, thanks Chenle."

"Guys!!!" Heeyeon shouts from the front door. "What's taking so long?" The boys heed the impatient girl's call and run inside.

They open their scores and celebrate their passing scores. Heeyeon made the highest grade, naturally. Jisung made his best score yet. Chenle wasn't necessarily content with his score but he wasn't upset. "I could've done better, but I'm happy that I passed."

The three friends celebrate by eating ice cream. It's not long before Chenle is summoned home by his father. Apparently, he forgot to clean out the garage. "Tsk tsk tsk, Lele still forgets to complete his chores." Heeyeon teased.

He scowled at her before leaving the apartment. Leaving Heeyeon and Jisung alone. They sat in silence. The tension-filled silence that's laced with awkwardness. There's so much both of them wanted to say but neither of them knew where to start.

"Umm, Heeyeon thanks for all the help tutoring me." Jisung says shyly. "It's no problem, really. It's nice to have some company around here, it gets pretty lonely." She admits with a dry chuckle.

"I, uh wanted to ask you something." He speaks and tries to keep his voice from shaking. His leg is bouncing rapidly due to his anxiousness. Heeyeon looking up at him and staring right into his soul didn't help at all.

"Would you maybe like to hang out with me sometime this weekend? We could get food or boba, whatever you want to do is fine."

"Okay, but I have a question for you too."

"Are you asking me on a date?"

Jisung nearly chokes on the spoonful of ice cream that he ate to try and calm himself down. That obviously backfired. "Yes?" He braces himself for her answer.

"That's what I was hoping you'd say." Heeyeon smiled down at her now melted ice cream. "And, we should get ramen." She suggests. "Yes! I love ramen. I once ate five packs of instant ramen in one day." Jisung seems really proud of himself for this, so Heeyeon keeps the nutritional advice to herself.
