Stuck Inside

"Hey, Cay-Cay."

The boy looks over to one of his friends who were smirking slightly.

"Wanna do a dare?" he asks.

"Uh, sure." Caytor says, standing up. "But we have to get back before midnight hits." he reminds them.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Come on." Caytor blinks and sighs quietly and follows behind, every now and then trying to find a clock to figure out the time.

"W-Wait, it might almost be midnight. We have to try and get-" he tries to convince his friends.

"Oh, who cares! Come on, you still have to do the dare!" the other says, grabbing Caytor's wrist tightly, making the boy wince but he bit his tongue. Minutes passed, and they stopped in front of a large building.

"W-What is this place?" he asks.

"This is the Mega PizzaPlex." his friend says.

"Now. Here's the dare." he smirks and points inside the open doors. "We dare you to steal one of the plushies in the PizzaPlex."

Caytor blinks and looks inside. "B-But I shouldn't do that. You'd just say that it was my idea and I'd be-" Caytor gasps when one of them grabbed the collar of both his shirts and pulled him close, making Caytor still immediately.

"What did you just say, kid?" he asks.

"A-Alright! Alright, I'll... I-I'll do it." The kid smirks and lets go of his shirt and shoves him towards the door. Caytor stares at them before huffing and stares at the doors.

"Hurry up, or else we'll just have to throw you in there!" one of this friends threatened, making him jolt and just dash inside.

But just as he ran towards the entrance, he gasps slightly at the intercoms, making him look up and around. Then he hears something moving and a shout of his name.

Turning around, he stares to see a cover move over to protect the doors.

"Wait!" Caytor shouts and runs over as fast as he could. But just as he got there, the cover as already closed. He could hear one of his friends pounding at the cover, but then in a second it had stopped.

Caytor pressed his ear against the cover to ear them arguing before it falls quiet. "G-Guys?" he whispers quietly, staring at the cover and taking a few steps back.

His body trembles and he looks around the main room in a blind panic. He slumps against the door covers and hugs his jacket after untying it from around his waist and hugs it tightly, staring at the floor as he cries.

He sniffled after a few minutes, rubbing his nose and his eyes widened to hear voices and the ground began to shake underneath him.

Out of his blind panic, he runs to one of the doors but he only smacks against him, making his wince and realize that it was locked. So the only other thing he could do was to just hide behind a large plant that was mostly secluded in the darker areas of the entrance. He peers out from behind the plant to see a man and an animatronic walk to take a look at the doors.

"Seems like the pounding had stopped around the time the covers went over the door." the man murmurs after lowering down their flashlight. "But that can't also means that there might not be a kid in here all the same."

"They mustn't have gone far if a kid were to come into the PizzaPlex. But if not, we have until 6 A.M." the animatronic says. Those robots can speak like a person?! Caytor panics slightly and waits for a few until the voices grow silent.

He waits for a few more minutes before finally getting out from behind the bushes and walking back to the covers and stare at them, thinking he could will them to just lift up. But nothing. Caytor stares before leaning against the covers and slides down to sit down. He stares at the ground before hugging his legs close and burying his face in his knees, trembling. He could have tried to fall asleep, but he was feeling oddly awake, much more than how tired he was just outside the Pizzaplex.

Caytor huffs quietly and just ignores his thoughts to try and get himself to sleep or wait until the covers can lift up.

My name is Caytor Josephs. I don't have a family, but that doesn't mean that I won't have them for much longer. And my friends dared me to go into the Mega PizzaPlex. They seem to not know much of the franchise and all that has happened behind its name. At first, coming here seemed to be a very bad and almost panicking decision, something that I should've stopped if I didn't listen to my friends...

But it might've been the best thing that could've happened to me.
