My Petersburg

Futakuchi was getting kind of scared. The day of showing the snowy haired boy to his parents had finally come. It was Wednesday so he woke up thirty minutes later than normal and took a shower because he was a disgusting teenage boy.

His mom was still asleep and the only assignment she had today was to fix the front door. His mother was already out the—nonexistent—door so it was quiet for once. He put the stupid Oikawa mask on and sang along to Crossing A Bridge from Anastasia. If he did have a soulmate they should be proud of his music taste. Yes. If he had a soulmate they would like him, right? He's not that bad. Okay he's kind of a bully. He's getting freckles on the nape of his neck. Maybe it's his tattoo? Although he's adopted and that might just be a thing from his birth parents.

He sat there eating his cereal. What a boring morning. Then he heard it. A small song in the back of his head.

I grew up on the sly
In the gutters and the streets of Petersburg

He recognized the song and started to sing too.

Just a kid on the fly
Getting good at getting by in Petersburg

I forded for a blanket
Stolen for my bread
Leaned to take my chances
And use my head
A Russian rat is clever
Clever or he ends up dead

He smiled at the song.

Boils down to
There are some who survive
Some who don't
Some give up some give in
Me I won't
Black and blue welcome to
My Petersburg

Then the song in his head stopped as if they were just trying to show off that they learned it. Weirdo. It was an impressive thing to do. Who the heck even listens to Futakuchi's music taste seriously without being a theater kid? If they were a theater kid though that would be awesome! But this is the first time he's heard something from his soulmate.

Omg! He has a soulmate!!! It's sad that they stopped before the key change though. My Petersburg is a really good song. When he finds his soulmate he's gonna give them a big lecture about finishing songs. That is if he finds his soulmate. The idea of a soulmate is spinning out of control in Futakuchi's head.

For a second he forgot that he needed to go to school. What an idiot. As Futakuchi ran out the nonexistent door he found that his mind wondered to his friends. Bokuto his other half mentally, Akaashi the aloof weirdo who seemed to somehow have a grip on all of Bokuto's emotions and Aone the calm beautiful angel that elbows him in the ribs every time he says something wrong. He loved his friends, even if it was a little too soon for that with some of them.

Futakuchi finally gets to school but he barely remembers walking out the door—maybe because there was no door. He walks up to his friends and Bokuto is acting really clingy toward Akaashi.

"You okay after last night?" He asked both of them because to be honest they both sounded like they had a rough night. Especially poor Akaashi.

"I feel okay now because Akaashi saved me!" Bokuto let the world know by pulling Akaashi into his arms and wiping his tear stained face on his uniform. Akaashi really needed to set some boundaries. The second most quiet person in the group gave him a thumbs up to show that he was actually okay with this. He loved how sneaky Akaashi could be. He also loved how he didn't keep Futakuchi from being mean like Aone did. But Aone had his reasons. The bell rang and the four of them split off to their first period class. Aone accompanied him making the dots on their necks multiply.

Sorry It's been so long! I was procrastinating on this because I thought no one would really like it but I'm now determined to keep this story going! I love you guys! Thanks for reading!
