The year 2040, also known as the machine age, was the time when humans were almost extinct, they were at the bottom of the food chain. Humans are slaves for Robo-con, it was invented by a cruel business mogul name Edward Chambers now known as Governor Edward Chambers. He was the mastermind behind the whole take over, many thought he was going to be the change when they elected him to be the Governor but it was the worst mistake of all time, he started to raise taxes, take away lands, sell the farmers cattle's without any sort of acknowledgment, they tried to stop him but he was inevitable, so he raised an army of robots that wipe out three-quarters of the human population those who survive the war was taken to work for robots, they remaining humans were in hiding, they had no resources to help them, If they didn't die from old age they would die from starvation or as simple as the common cold they didn't have any sort of medication.  It was simply the end of humanity and earth. Earth was now known as planet Robo-con.

One of the humans in hiding, a 30-year-old female widow named Helen DeVito is trying to keep her sanity but she doesn't know how much longer she can hold onto it. The constant running is getting unbearable and all they can do is watch from the sidelines, she knows her human life doesn't matter to these robots or their superior as they have no soul how could a man of their kind turn on his kind with no little remorse? She wondered. She know the human race was wicked and vile but this has passed the limit she would have loved to rebel against them but she was just a fragile woman who was onto the brink of death she had lost her heart along with the gruesome death of her husband he was a man that believes in standing up for your rights but she saw what they did to him, she or nobody else tried to defy them everyone watches as their love ones perish like she is watching her only family member remaining drifting as the day passed by, her beloved mother suffers every day because of a condition unknown to her, her mother was now skin and bones matter of fact they were all slim and will soon be unrecognizable. Her mother's chocolate brown eyes that once held so many emotions now held only one and that's fear, her eyes sunk deep into her face as if they would close away from the world, her arms held the flesh like linen on a line. Her voice was hoarse from all the crying that she has been doing lately, Helen watched helplessly as her mother coughed up blood into her bony hands and watched as it slipped through the huge space of her fingers. Helen hurried and wiped up the blood, she didn't want her or her mother to face the wrath of one of these robots.

It was now nightfall and the yellow lights from the law robots shone through the small cracks of an abundant building that hold all 50 humans, Helen watched the lights as they shone over each individual in the room then it fell on her mother who was sleeping, she checks her breathing just to be sure for she had witnessed so many deaths it becomes a norm to her but she didn't want her mother to die, she needed her. She prayed to whatever god was there to help her or even show her a sign. Everything was quiet, some cried of hunger but nobody could help.

Helen had a piece of bread hidden in the pocket of her ragged dress but she must be selfish and wait until everyone was asleep for she too was starving she wanted to help but she remembers the last time someone tried to eat their leftover they beat the poor boy until he was unrecognizable, the human race is corrupt, they killed their kind. Sighing, she removed her hand from the hidden food and leaned her head against the hard wall as she stared through the small crack. How could they sleep? She certainly couldn't, she even forgot what sleep is even like, she forgot a lot of things, she doesn't celebrate her birthdays or her anniversary, she's been in this hell hole for 5 years now and she prayed for a change, anything. She lay there hoping that tomorrow would be better but she was just hoping.
