Taylor walks in the doors of her high school, where she grew up in the school system her entire life, for her third week of school. She sees the same people, things, classrooms, every single day. She's so tired of this town and all she wants is out.

She takes her athletic bag to the locker room and places it in her locker. Doing one more quick check of her blonde curled hair in the mirror before she heads to class.

She walks into her AP Biology class, which happens to be her least favorite subject, wearing her white top with blue jeans and her favorite shoes. She looks around at the boring black tables that have two seats at each one. She sits down in her usual seat all alone. She's an athlete, so most of her friends come from sports. They don't really care about their grades or college, so almost all of her friends are in regular classes.

She gets a text from Tom.
"Did you bring me food for lunch?"
She leaves him on read, deciding that she will answer her boyfriend later.

She realizes that her completed homework was in her notebook. She opens her book and starts to look over it when she is interrupted by Mrs. Wells. But Taylor doesn't stop reading through her notes.

"Class, we have a new student," she says in a mellow tone not even looking up from her seating chart, "This is Joseph Alwyn, please make him feel welcome." Mrs. Wells has always been an abnormally rude teacher. Taylor listens but doesn't look at her teacher.

"Joseph, sit by Taylor please."
Of course. Now she looks up. Holy Shit. She gives him a soft smile trying to hold back her extreme attraction to him.

His blonde fluffy hair, his ocean blue eyes, and his muscles under that short sleeve grey T shirt. He smiles back as he walks over to her desk. Taylor let's her own blue eyes follow him as he sits beside her.

"Hi." She whispers trying to breathe. He notices her hesitation. He also noticed the way she watched him sit down and he put two and two together. He came to the conclusion that she might of had a teeny tiny crush on him already.

"Hey, I'm Joe."
"Taylor," she says still out of air.

He watched her as she couldn't breathe. He saw her perfect blue eyes, that looked slightly panicked. He saw her slightly parted, pink lips, he watched her hands as she tucked her blonde hair behind her ear. He watched her as she tried to calm herself down. He saw how beautiful she was as he stood at the front of the classroom, watching the way she read over her notes. He maybe had a teeny tiny crush on her as well.

"Taylor, could you please catch Joe up on the work from the past two weeks as extra credit." Mrs. Wells asked. But Taylor knew by her tone that she should probably take that offer.
"Yes ma'am."

Taylor looked at him and smiled, "sit by me at lunch? It'll be easy that way."

"Of course," He says smiling, "if you'll tell me where the lunchroom is."
"Yeah I will," she laughs.

Biology goes by in a flash. They became friends, they learned more about each other than about biology. They talk about both of their families, Taylor's boyfriend, Joes ex, and how much they hate biology.

"Hey where is room," he looks at the crumpled piece of paper, "227 A?"

Trigonometry. Her next class. "Yeah, that's my next class."
"Oh. Wow. I suck at Trig." He groans.
"Damn, I was kinda hoping you could help me."
"I mean, I could try," he says smiling.
