When the door swung open, Mew sprung up from his feet and scrambled towards Papa T who had just come out with Bester.

"Mae, Mew."

Mew's heart was beating wildly. He was terrified that something bad had happened to Gulf. "Khun Phor Krub, Is Gulf alright?" The anxiety in his voice was thick.

"Yes, he's fine." Papa T quickly nodded and assured him with a pat on his shoulder.

No words would describe the immense relief he felt.

"Can I—?" Before Mew could finish his sentence, Papa T interrupted. "Yes. He has been calling for you non stop earlier during his sleep too."

The man smiled softly and urged Mew to go in.

Mew was overwhelmed with grief, guilt and fear. He was upset and angry at himself for not taking care of Gulf better and allowed something so painful to befall on Gulf. He also feared that Gulf would not accept him back — not that he would leave it as it is, he would fight for Gulf but the fear of being rejected crippled him.

"Go." Mama T encouraged and pushed him gently towards the door.

"Yeah, he would love to see you." Papa T added, lightly squeezing his shoulder. "Mew Luk, please take care of him." He smiled lovingly towards the distraught man.

"Phor and Mae will go home first." He informed as he wrapped his arm around his wife. "Please stay with him tonight."

Mew nodded with watery eyes. "Krub. Please go home safely. I will keep you two updated." He bowed and wai-ed politely. "Thank you krub, Khun Phor… Khun Mae…"

"P'Best, please take care of his matters at the company." Bester nodded and offered an assuring smile. "Don't worry, Mew. I will head back and handle it."

Mew watched them walk until they disappeared around the corner before he entered the room.

Mew curled his trembling fingers on the doorknob. The love of his life was just behind the door. Wild thoughts ran through his mind again. Fear crippled his feet and senses to act quickly as he wanted.

After stalling for a bit, Mew finally entered the room.

Gulf shot his eyes toward the door once he heard it click open. He knew that his parents would give them space to talk.

Both of them were equally nervous. They stared at each other in silence. Gulf clutched onto the blanket with quivering lips.

"Gulf…"

Mew broke the deafening silence and slowly made his way to the bedside.

"How are you feeling now, Gulf?" Mew sat on the bedside chair. He felt himself choke as he questioned. The desire to reach out and hold his hand was overpowering.

"I'm okay krub… sorry to cause trouble to you and the rest of the team…" He apologised as he tried to sit up.

Mew instinctively stood up and leaned forward to assist him.

"Better?" Mew asked with a soft smile on his face.

'P'Mew… I'm sorry…' Gulf apologised in his head. He ached for Mew terribly but it was too late.

Mew handed him a glass of water. It was as if he could read how thirsty Gulf feels.

He took the glass of water from him and mumbled a thank you before taking a sip. When he noticed Mew was still standing, Gulf spoke again.
