A snowy adventure

****A/n Im going to re-write this story. I just have a better way to conduct the story.
So nothing much has changed.****

"Scotty where did you put my keys!!" I shout from the other side of the house, while I search the entrance for my car keys.
"Um have you looked at the key rack by the door, where you put them every night?" Scotty shouts back from his room.
"Yes and they aren't here! Where are you hiding them?" I say irritated as I lean on Scottys door frame. He looks up at Me and begins giggling. "What? don't look at me like that." He says with a guilty smirk. I then quickly enter his room and I begin searching for my keys.

Scotty just watches in amusement dangling my keys behind my back.

I hear them jingle and turn to Scotty. "Give them back!" I say giggling "no!" He replies
"Why not?" I say looking at him with my arms folded " Because you can't go snowboarding without me." He says pouting. So I playfully punch his arm "ouch!" He yells sarcastically as he grabs his shoulder where I punched him "What happened to you and Chloe going out?"
"We..ll, I was hoping that she could maybe come with, she's been wanting to learn to snowboard and today would be the perfect time." He says pleading "You could have just said that instead of hiding my keys; you know I love spending time with Chloe" I say grabbing my keys from him. "But that's not as fun" he says playfully shoving me. "What time is she coming over?" I ask walking out of Scottys room "Um she should be here in 5 minutes." He replies
Five minutes later Chloe arrives "Sammy she's here are you ready to go?" Scotty shouts from the front door. "Yeah coming!" I reply walking down the stairs
"Hey!" Sammy greats Chloe with a tight hug "How was Abu Dhabi and Dubai?" I ask as we walk out into the cold winter morning and to the warm car.
"It was fun! I went with my dad to Lances last race and this season ended on a high for us. I'm just happy to be on holiday now!" Chloe answers with a huge smile
We arrive at the slopes and we get ready to go snowboarding

"Here are your boots" Sammy smiles passing her extra pair of snowboarding boots to Chloe "Thank you!" She smiles taking the boots. I teach her the basics and then we hit the slopes
We fell a couple of times but it was still great fun.

Spending some quality time with my girl 🤟🏻😘

"That was amazing! Thank you Sam!" Chloe says as she tries to get up from falling into the snow when Scotty pushes her back down. "I can't say the same to your brother!" she screams pulling Scotty down with her.

"Oh Sam some of my friends are coming over tonight, I don't know what your plans are but just a heads up" Scotty says getting up from the snow.
"Okay cool, any friends I know or are they your new Olympic friends?" Sammy asks sitting on the nearby rock. "Well Ricciardo will be there, if that's what you're asking." Scotty says with a smirk earning a snowball to the face from Sam.

*Back at the lodge*

"Okay everything seems sorted, anything else you need help with setting up Scot?"
Sammy asks while fluffing the last of the pillows. "Nah I think that's it, thanks for your help." He says pulling his twin sister in for a hug. "They should be arriving any minute, so I'm going to go get ready" Sammy says while pulling out of her brothers bone crushing hug. "I think I'm going to go snowboarding a little bit more before it gets dark out and then I'll join you guys after, if that's alright?" Sammy ask before walking out of the living room.
"I'm sure that's fine, just remember not to stay out too late otherwise it could get dangerous in the dark" Scotty replies adjusting the small table in front of him.

"This is going to be fun!" "Whoo hoo!!"
I gently guide myself off the edge of the half-pipe doing a few tricks. "That was awesome Sam!" Caleb one of my closer friends cheers, Caleb along with Ben and Alexis have been my friends for years since I first started coming here when I was 10. "Are you going to try the Front Board dub 12 again?" Ben asks looking at Sammy. "I don't know Ben, I haven't tried that trick in years." I say uncertain about preforming the trick. "Come on, I'm sure you can do it. Sammy! Sammy!" He starts cheering and the next minute the rest of the group is cheering
"Hey don't push her, if she doesn't want to do it then she doesn't have to do it!" Caleb says to the crowd. "Aww come on Sam!" Alexis, Sammys other closes friend.
"Fine, fine I'll do it!" Sammy says making her way to the middle of the half-pipe
"Just be careful Sam" Caleb says with uncertainty. "I will be, don't worry" I say as I guide myself off the edge.
I begin gaining momentum and confidence to pull of the trick. So I attempt it once but fail, frustration begins to build and I attempt it once more. I'm now in the air and about to land the move; everyone watches in anticipation.

"Come on Sam, you've got this!" Caleb shouts as his nerves begin to take over.
My board approaches the half-pipe about to land the trick, as my board makes contact with the cold surface....

I hear a snap and slide to the centre of the pipe, a shock of pain travels through my leg as slowly the adrenaline begins to wear off.
I just lay there tears in my eyes, in the middle of the half-pipe grabbing my leg in pain.
"Shit" Caleb whispers and rushes over to me. He kneels down and assesses my pain stained face "Hey, you okay?" He whispers in concern as he signals Ben to come help lift me. "You were so close Sam, but I think you need to work on your landing." Ben jokes taking my free arm and helping me up and out of the half-pipe.
"If I wasn't in so much pain I would probably hit you." I joke holding back more tears that are threatening to leave my eyes. Caleb and Ben put Me in the back car and Caleb drives as fast as he can to the nearby hospital.
