Three hours before Mei and Karina's reunion:
As Mei followed Karina's voice, she and her body teleported into the Sea of Quanta. Mei became confused, but she still pushed forward. Fighting the Quantum beasts that surrounded the area.
"Help me!" She heard it, Mei heard Karina's voice again, more closer and clearer than before. "Karina?!" Mei shouted desperately, now turning into her Herrscher form as she sped past all the enemies. In red streaks of lighting, they all fell before her.
Mei gasped as she was met with a protective orb. Black with a hint of purple as it surrounded the person in the bubble.
It was Karina.
She was in the fetal position, calling out to Mei using telepathy. Mei dashed over to her as she brought out her katana, and slashed mercilessly at the orb, hoping it would break, but it wouldn't budge.
"Just hold on, Karina, I'll get you out!"
"Are you stupid or what?" A voice spoke behind her as Mei turned around, "Who are--...you." Mei growled as she met face to face with the Herrscher of the void, as well as the crimson-red Grim Reaper beside her, the Herrscher of Death..
Mei spoke with authority, wanting to get answers from the two, "Why are you two here? No, how did you get here?"
Sirin wasted no time, she walked closer, explaining their answer to Mei's agitated question.
A few minutes ago--25 minutes, to be exact--when the two felt their powers suddenly rise, they performed a two-part phase called Synchronization. Phase one--which they already completed--is where two or more Herrschers combine their abilities to transport themselves to the Sea of Quanta, and perform the second phase. Where they do the same method again, but this time combine their Stigmata to finally be one with their assigned host.
Normally, during phase-two, the Herrschers do not see their host until the phase is completed. This time, however, is a different story. Sirin and Veliona truly didn't know why Karina was trapped inside of a bubble, but they and Mei speculated that it was because she was unconscious.
