Ezra had moved to Delaware after problems with Aria, he had left to get to know Malcolm, but now he is back. Aria has moved on, but has one secret from Ezra. Her son; Ash, is Ezra's kid. Not Jarred's.
Aria was shocked to hear of Ezra's return, the pull of her heart strings. Ezra was her first love, her only love really. The father of her child. The one she would only want kids with, but then there's Jarred. She loved him; well she thought she loved him. He was there, he looked after Ash when she needed it. But when Jarred asked to adopt Ash, she yelled a no at him and told him she wasn't prepared to let anyone but the father of Ash to be his father. She wasn't going to give up Ezra's right to be a dad, without even telling him.
Jarred was annoyed at this, it was obvious that his biological father was not around and that he was obviously not in love with Aria anymore. What irked him more, was he didnt know who this guy was. He wondered if he was a bad seed, that Aria was raped and the baby was conceived that way. He had to ask. "Were you raped by this guy?"
Aria's eyes snapped up, "No! God no! Him and I were together for a year and a half, a fight led him to leave me and Rosewood, breaking me into pieces. Few weeks after he left, I found out I was pregnant. I tried to contact him, but I had deleted his number, his skype his emails, I tried for the whole first year Ash was born, crying each time I said to Ash that was I was going to find his father."
Jarred nodded, for the first time hearing her talk about Ash's father. "Do you know where he is now? Do you want to resume to try and contact him..."
Aria shrugged, "He's back in Rosewood, he probably doesn't even want anything to do with me, after what I did. He'd be 28 now."
His age threw Jarred for a six, "Twenty eight?"
"Yes, twenty eight," growled Aria.
"I'm sorry, I just thought he would be a boy you're age," spoke Jarred, "Can I know more about him?"
"He's your English proffessor," growled Aria and got up and walked off towards Ash's room, to look at the boy who looked so much like Ezra. A tear went down her face, she missed him so much. Jarred came in, "Mr Fitz?"
"Yes, Ezra Fitz is Ash's father, and you know what else? He is the reason I was so depressed when you met me! Because each time I look at Ash, I see Ezra, the eyes, the lips, the jaw, and the hair! He has my color eyes and my face shape, but he's still Ezra!" cried Aria, finally breaking down. Jarred just watched her cry for her ex. And it killed him that Mr. Fitz had so much of a hold over her.
"Do you still love him?" asked Jarred.
"You really want to hear my answer?" asked Aria.
"Yes, because if there is a chance he may still love you. You need to go for it, for you and for Ash," spoke Jarred.
"Of course I still love him, he was the IT guy for me. I'd bend over backwards to see he was happy, but when I found out he had a son. It derailed me, and I broke his trust by digging around the mother of his child! I was a selfish cow, and he'll never forgive me for keeping Ash from him," cried Aria. Jarred went over and hugged Aria close, he knew this was killing her.
"I'll look after sleeping Ash, you go find Mr Fitz and tell him," told Jarred. Aria nodded, hoping he was still at apartment 3B. She grabbed her jacket and smiled at Jarred and thanked him. He nodded, even if this was hard for him. He knew he wanted Aria happy more than anything.
It took Aria quite awhile to gain the courage to go up to Ezra's apartment, slowly she reached the door, hearing the faint noise of the television she knew someone occupied this room, hoping for all that it was Ezra. She knocked.
Ezra was on the other side, drinking scotch and watching a western war film, he jumped when he heard the knock on his door, hoping it wasn't Maggie dropping Malcolm off out of the blue; putting his scotch down the wooden table he padded over to the door; opening the door to Aria made his mouth drop open.
"Hey, I heard you were back," whispered Aria.
"Yeah, do you want to come in?" breathed Ezra moving to the side. Aria walked into the familiar apartment, getting a whiff of his colonge which drove her crazy.
"I need to tell you something, and believe me I tried to for two years, I couldn't find you after rage and deleted all your contact info," Aria sat on the couch sighing. This was going to be long.
Ezra sat down next to her, she was still as pretty as he remembered. "You can tell me, anything."
"You are going to hate me, just as you did when I pried around Maggie, and I am so, so sorry for that," said Aria, who was almost in tears.
"I don't hate you Aria, I could never hate you," spoke Ezra. He placed a hand on her hand, "Now tell me."
"After you left Rosewood, for Delaware. I found out," Aria sobbed more, now more of crying, Ezra squeezed her hand to continue, "I found...out, that I was...pregnant."
Ezra gasped, "What did you do?"
"I kept him," told Aria. Ezra's face looked like he had just been hit in the face by a baseball bat.
"What's his name?" asked Ezra.
"Ashley Mark Montgomery, but I am open for him to have your lastname," said Aria. She was crying, "I tried so hard to remember your numbers, each time I tried. I kept getting the wrong people. Each time I thought I was close, it all went cold again. Then when I thought I remembered your Skype, it turned out I added a 70 year old Norwegian dude looking for his lost ex with his cat," saddened Aria.
"Ashley," breathed Ezra. "He'd be what? Three?"
"Two years old, his birthday is 11th February, 2012," spoke Aria, and sighed.
"I'd have come back, if I had known I ruined your life," growled Ezra.
Rage flew through Aria and she grabbed him by the shoulders; her face inches away from his, "You did not ruin my life. You gave me the most extraordinary gift anyone could give. That boy; I'd never regret. The only thing I regret is never telling you I love you enough."
Ezra breathed at her touch, the spark ran through him, "And I never forgave myself for freaking over the Maggie thing, you were just worried and I understand that."
Aria stayed close, contemplating whether to kiss him. "Have you, well, have you moved on? Got someone?"
"There's never been anyone else but you Aria, I tried, but I couldn't even give them my number," spoke Ezra, his breath blowing on Aria's face. "I know you've got someone though, I saw you today at Hollis with him."
"He's nothing," spoke Aria kissing Ezra. Ezra kissed back running his hands up her back.
