My footsteps echoed and filled the room. I didn't know what to do with myself, I felt like I was about to pass out and after hearing the pod take off there was no where for me to go. No where where I wouldn't get killed or captured. There is this one girl who probably would have helped me if we hadn't fallen out and I hadn't spoken to her for weeks.

Her name was Raven, she the best shot for trying to get to earth as she is one of the best engineers in this place and her boyfriend Finn was sent down so she would want to go down as well. Tragically we feel out because she's a dick and ratted me out for selling moonshine, and making it and being intoxicated underage but still, she didn't have to snitch. But I guess, because I was desperate, I'd have to let the past slide, the only problem was where to find her without being caught myself. Then I remembered this lower deck where Raven used to build stuff, no one ever went down there, they never had a reason to.
As I started to move my knees stung and burnt, I looked down and my trousers where completely shredded and my knees where a bloody mess. Never mind my hand which where completely covered in scratches and blisters. All this from using a wall as a punch bag, pulling up plastic flooring and crawling through a burning hot heating chamber thing.

Suddenly I heard people, a crowd of people, honestly I didn't know whether to run or hide or to just blend in or collapse on the floor ( which is what I felt like doing). I decided to run which,felt like someone was putting iron nails in my knees. With every step I cringed in agony and pain. My vision was starting to go hazy, I started getting dizzy and stumbling as I tripped into the basement. The place looked like a ghost ship, the only things there were old crate boxes, wires, and scrap metal ( which I could have sold if I wasn't 2nd most wanted criminal (Bellamy being first)). Stumbling my way towards the crates so I could subtlety collapse, I only made it half way when I fell to the floor where I passed out.

"Mardi.. Maaarrddii" Someone was shaking me. "I'll kick you" and before I could wake up fully she kicked my leg really hard.
"Ow!" I screamed grabbing my leg dramatically and glaring at a smiling Raven.
" I heard you're on the run kid." Offering me a hand Raven smiled smugly.
" Huh, they're already looking"
" ha! Looking! Mardi your boyfriend tried to kill the chancellor, they're hunting you down. "
" Trust Bellamy to be a losey shot and he isn't my boyfriend." I sighed and grabbed Ravens hand to pick myself off the ground.
"You owe me a thank you, I covered up your blood trails."
" Thanks, you're not going to get Kane right? " I questioned.
" Why would I cover your tracks then hand you in?"
" You're not the best with secrets."
" Here we go again! Why did you come here? If you don't trust me." She had a point.
"No where else to go." I moaned bluntly.
" What about Jasper? Monty? Where ever Bellamy went?"
" You don't know?" Wow the council really don't tell anyone anything.
" Don't know what?"
"Go ask the council , we both know how much you love adventure." Then she stopped talking to me and headed out the door. " Where are you going?"
"Adventure." Raven smiled and left the basement. I sighed and looked down at my hands, they were cleaned? Raven must have cleaned the dry blood off, of course they were still bad and one or two scratches need stitches but Raven was really helping me. Diverting my attention to my knees which were protected with clean white bandages. Smiling I threw my greasy hair up into a bun and decided to explore the basement a bit. On one side of the room there was old storage boxes and random wires, the other side was more interesting. Beyond the various hot and cold pipes and dust clouds there was an old cloth covering something.

My instinct reaction was to pull it down, after pulling it down and coughing as tiny dust particles entered my lungs, I inspected the strange metal object in front of me. Oh yes! It's a pod! Maybe I could get Raven to fix it then we could go to earth! Climbing inside the pod I inspected it's insides, I didn't know much about mechanics but I knew that this was going to be hard. The pod was covered in filth, so I went to the outside and grabbed a cloth and a mucky old bucket of water and began cleaning.

After it was all clean, Raven stormed in and kick a near by crate.

"So you know?" I asked.

"Yeah I know" she grunted and sighed. "Abby Griffen told me."

"Oh man yeah Clark must be on the ground." I liked Clark, her cell was beautiful and full of drawings of the ground, I loved it. We weren't that close as kids but when she got arrested, her cell was next to mine so it was easy to get to. Her mum was nice and a good nurse but she sometimes made stupid decisions.

"Apparently they think the 100 are dying from radiation, but some of them are still alive, Clark, Finn their bracelets are still active."

"So Clark and Finn are alive? What about Jasper, Monty, Bellamy?"

"Bellamy's was one of the first to go out.." She sat next to me.

"But Jasper and Monty are fine.." I asked and she nodded. I couldn't believe Bellamy was dead.

"Octavia?"

"I didn't see everyone.." Raven sighed and then she noticed the pod the other side of the room. "You cleaned the old thing? Why?"

"You can fix it right?" I sniffed and tried to forget about Bellamy.

"No, well I've never tried. But it's been here for years, I'm pretty sure it's busted."

"But you can try?"

She hit the front of the pod and inspected it." You really want to get to earth."

"Don't you?" I walked up to her. " can you fix it or not."

"Yeah, I-I guess I can try" she sounded unsure but I just smiled.

"That's good enough for me"

"Are you okay.. Mardi?" Her voice was full of concern and empathy, I just nodded because I knew that if I said something my voice would shake and I didn't want to cry. Bellamy was probably fine. I sure hoped he was anyway.
