I woke up because of an unusual scratching noise. It became my alarm every morning yet this morning, the scratches becomes continues. Whoever it is, they are surely scratching a wood. I tried telling my mom about it but she told me that it was just Coco, the cat I owned.

The scratches irritates my ears. It was making me deaf. It just don't stop. Instead of telling mom about it this time, I decided to follow the noise and I found out that it came from the attic.

I never ever tried climbing up to our attic. Aside for the reason that I don't have any bussiness there, my mom also reminds me constantly to stay away from there.

But something inside me pushed me to pull the ladder and climb up to the unfamilliar room.

The attic was dusty as expected. My mom and I lives alone that's why neither of us tried cleaning it. We are also busy. Mom with her work and I with my studies and sport.

There are a lot of boxes. They are labeled as whatever is inside them. I followed the noise and did I mention that it become bearable when I entered the attic? The noise stopped when I stopped in front of a box. It was smaller than the other boxes in the attic and it is not also as dusty as them as if someone just opened or put them here recently.

I opened the box. I expected something shocking but what inside the box is not surprising at all. It was just a glass balls. I grabbed one of them when I saw that they are labeled with names I am unfamiliar with.

" Emelia " I read the name written in the tape that is stick in the glass ball. I was about to grab another when the Emelia glass ball slipped into my hand. It created a loud noise. I saw the broken pieces of the glass in the attic floor but what I am not expecting is seeing a little kid in front of me.

" Thank you for freeing me. " she said and smiled sweetly at me.

" Jane?! Where are you? " I heard my mom said that made my heart skipped a beat.

" What do you mean? " I almost stutter when I asked Emelia. Instead of answering my question, she just handed me a glass ball.

" Mom " that's what written in the glass ball. I was confused.

But Mom is downstairs.

" Oh, so you disobeyed me. " Mom said. Or who I thought she is.

My heart beats faster than ever. I was so nervous and confused.

I felt the tears in my face before I tried running away from her. I was doing my best while holding the glass ball Emelia handed me.

" You can't run away from me. Not even little Emelia. " She said and grabbed my hair.

" Bye bye, Jane. " That's what I heard before I became one of her glassball collection.
