Okay.

All I have to do is invite her so why am I so nervous? It's not like I'm about to ask her to marry me.

Not yet at least.

"Shut up brain!" I scolded the tiny voice that spoke up in my head.

But what if she refuses?

She won't, just tell her your dad is the one that wants to have the dinner.

I was interrupted from my thoughts when my phone chimed. I tapped on the green button and place it against my ear.

"It's Alexis. I was wondering if you wanted to take Kylie out today?"

Right on time.

"No I'm busy today."

"Work?"

"It's a Saturday, why would I go to work on a Saturday?"

"Well I was just guessing. You always call me to ask if you could hang out with Kylie, but you didn't today."

I glanced at the clock it was ten to ten and I smirked. "In other words, you were missing me."

She scoffed, "Nevermind. I'm hanging up!"

"No wait!" I yelled.

"Do you want to have dinner tonight?"

She paused. "No, I'm busy."

"But my father is the one requesting your presence. Actually I put things out in the worst ways. The thing is that I was supposed to call you to tell you that my father officially wants to meet Kylie and so he thought having dinner with the both of you would be ideal."

"Oh...I see. What time is the dinner?"

"Seven."

"Okay then. We'll be there."

"I think you want me almost as much as i want you but something's holding you back."

"I'm hanging up now!" She quickly said.

Now to prepare for tonight.

After I got off the phone with Kyle I realized something- I've not set foot inside that house since Kyle and Penelope.

Oh God! What is happening?!

"What's got your panties in a twist baby?"
Sophie's voice echoced through the room.

"Kyle. His parents invited Kylie and me over for dinner and I just couldn't refuse!" I confessed.

"That's cute," She started while stroking my hair. "I'm glad you didn't turn them down, Kylie needs to meet and know everyone in her family. But why's it's bothering you?"

"I don't know! Wouldn't it be awkward? I mean, they know my real name is not Mackenzie Poiner and that Kyle and I had a relationship in the past. I just don't know what to expect there."
