Chapter 30

Ei ended up in a small clearing, as she saw Tomo mimicking her sword art; Mosou no hitotachi and slashed the dummy in half

He sheathed the katana, as it creates a large Inazuman symbol. Tomo noticed Ei and nervously smiled "How long have you been there, Ei?" Tomo asked and Ei giggled

"You'd tried to do the Mosou no hitotachi?" Ei asked and came closer to him "Yes, I did. Was it good?" Tomo asked for her opinion "Yes, it was and your version is much more smoother than mine" Ei said

Tomo smiled at her happily and realized something "Wait... if you're here, then who's controlling the Shogun?" Tomo asked

Ei giggled "The puppet is on autopilot, don't worry" Ei reassured him "Oh, okay. Let's have lunch then!" Tomo exclaimed "Good thing I made two" he added and gave a bento box to Ei

Tomo sat under a tree and Ei sat beside him. He then clasped his hand together and said "Itadakimasu~!" Tomo started eating his lunch, making Ei confused "Aren't you already dead? Why are you still doing activities for the living?" Ei curiously asked

Tomo smiled and stared at the distance with his lifeless eyes "It's just that... I still want to feel human again. I don't want to forget about the times I was still alive. So I try to do life skills and my usual routines back then" Tomo said and Ei felt the air getting cold

"What does it feel when you don't have a physical body?" Ei asked "I don't feel anything. I just felt numb, I can't taste anything, I can't smell, I can't touch... it was like I didn't exist" Tomo said and a gust of cold wind rush through them

Ei shivered and Tomo stood up "I think it's going to rain. Let's go to the house" Tomo said and helped Ei up

Somehow, Ei felt something wrong about Tomo's smile and their surroundings "Are you sad?" Ei asked and Tomo shook his head "No, I'm not sad... no I'm not" he said, as his cheery voice slowly fades

"You can talk to me about it" Ei said and rubbed Tomo's cold hands "I can't talk about it... especially to you..." Tomo said "What is it? I'm fine on hearing it. Please tell me" Ei wanted to know what's wrong with Tomo, as he was not his usual self

"You will soon know..." Tomo mumbled and said "Ei, you should go back to the real world now, maybe Kujou Sara is back"

"Okay, I will come back soon" Ei said before teleporting back to the real world.

Ei wondered what was Tomo's problem 'Is he stressed about something? Or is it me? I will have a talk with him, once I'm finished with my work' Ei thought and wait for Kujou Sara.

As minutes passed, Ei decides to continue the unfinished letters;

"There's still 14 more to go..." Ei sighed but did it anyway. After like many minutes, Ei placed the letters inside of their respective folders and marked them in blue.

The tengu still didn't came back and Ei decided to go to the Tenryou commission HQ. The guards bowed at her presence, as she entered the place.

One guard bowed at her and asked "Allmighty Shogun, Is there a meeting you want to held with the Tenryou commission?" Ei shook her head "Where is General Kujou?" Ei asked

"They're currently working on gathering and organizing the visions that are needed to be transferred to Watatsumi Island" the guard spoke and Ei nodded, as she walked out of the building.

Ei entered the gates of Tenshukaku, as she sees a glimpse of a white cat near the pond. Ei walked towards the pond, as she sees a white cat hiding behind a large rock

The cat looks like Daichi but it was female. Ei gently patted its head, as she purred and carried her in Ei's arms "Are you hungry? I will feed you" Ei walked towards a door that leads to the kitchen.

Ei set down the feline in the counter and opened the drawers to find a canned food. Ei then found a can of tuna and pours the tuna on a bowl.

She then gave it to the cat, as it ate the tuna "You reminded me of Daichi. Hmmm... I will call you; Yori!" Ei spoke and Yori meowed

"Finish up your meal, maybe I can bring you to my inner world" Ei said and caressed Tori's head.

After some time, Ei then teleported her and Yori to the euthymia. Ei noticed drastic changes to the euthymia, as she noticed the sea of her consciousness was replaced with sands but the sakura trees were still there.

Ei held Yori in her arms, as she gone straight into a path and the pink cherry blossoms faded to trees of green.

The place was new and there were lamps placed in some trees. The wisteria flower tunnel was gone and was replaced by a wooden bridge.

"What happened here?" Ei mumbled, as she sees the exit. They were then in a white sand beach, as Ei noticed a house facing the endless sea.

Ei then ran towards the house and saw Tomo grilling fishes on a bonfire. Tomo turned his head towards her and waved at her "Ei, welcome back. I'm sorry for the changes of the place" Tomo said "and who's this kitty cat?" Tomo asked

"This is Yori. I found her near the entrance of Tenshukaku" Ei said and handed him Yori "Yori... she kinda looks like Daichi" Tomo commented

Ei sighed and sat down on a rock, as she sees Tomo being his cheery self again "What's the change of attitude? Earlier; you were a bit cold and now; you're back to your old self again. Did I said something to you earlier that made you act so cold? If so, then I'm sorry" Ei spoke

Tomo puts down Yori on the white sand "No, don't be sorry. I was just thinking too much and wanted some time to calm myself down" Tomo said

"Why would you be thinking too much?" Ei asked "Let's just say that; my time with you is like a contract and not eternity" Tomo said

Ei looks confused "You sound like Morax when you said 'contract'" Ei commented and continued "Also, what do you mean by that statement you've just spoke?" Ei asked

"Ei, look at how beautiful the moon is tonight" Tomo said and Ei stared at the moon above

"It seems it is..."
