Chapter 1 | The nations

"Sir!" shouted a messenger. He was heavily panting.

"What?" Sapnap said, the king of the fire nation.

"The Earth and Air nation's are at war! Outside our walls. It's causing a disturbance to the people," he said.

"Well? What are you waiting for? Go get them!" Sapnap ordered.

"Sir.." he stuttered. "We are no match for them. That is why we are neutral."

"I can't believe it. Can you believe it?" Sapnap looked at the others around him. "This idiot doesn't know who we are. We are not neutral because we are weak. We are neutral because we are stronger than them. They are just simply ants to us." He laughed.

Sapnap looked around the room. People were talking, snickering, laughing, shouting. He'd always imagine that what he's seeing in here is no match for what is happening outside of the castle walls.

Sapnap sighed.

"Alright. Shall we stop the fight?" Sapnap asked around him. It went silent.

He looked around, clearly no one agreed. They all knew that at the palm of Sapnap's hands was the power of fire. He could light up a whole house in just 2 seconds. They all knew he was more powerful against them. However, their weakness was the water nation. He knew his nation would win this fight, but it would put them in the war. He didn't want that.

"You know what, shall we just talk it out? Bring them in. They seem angry," Sapnap said. The men agreed, and walked out to get the kings.

Twenty or so minutes later, 6 angry men walked in the castle. 2 of them are the kings of the other nations, and the other 4 is the knights. Sapnap's eye caught the one to the left of the Earth king. Under his helmet you could see dirty blond hair, and his eyes.. emerald green. He was tall, clearly taller than himself. He snickered.

"Hello, and welcome to the fi-" Sapnap was cut off.

"Enough! I want to get straight to the point. As the Air nation's king, we are strong. Stronger than anyone.. of course besides you. Join our side of the war, we can create an alliance!" said the air nation's king. His name is Phil.. Philza as they liked to call him. Sapnap never knew the reason why. Philza had big wide black wings, and he was tall but not as tall as that knight he saw.

"No! Join our side. We can stop the water nation from destroying you! Our weakness is you, King Sapnap. If you join our side, we can help you." Said the Earth's king. His name is Wilbur, Wilbur soot as his full name.

"Hard judgement, there. I guess I'll have to take the Earth's side, since-" Sapnap was once again cut off, this time by his own knight.

"Sir, you do realize we are not supposed to join the war. King Wilbur may be able to protect us, and King Philza may be able to help us, but our kingdom is in danger. Now that you have let them in, it's all dangerous." he said.

"Good point there, Punz. However. I do think the Earth nation should get our alliance. That's my final decision. But, as a deal. I want to switch knights. My 2nd hand knight, Technoblade, with the one to your right. Deal?" Sapnap said.

The knight looked at his king, and his king looked at him.

"I suppose that is a good deal. Shall we?" King Wilbur said, as the two switched. Sapnap smirked.

No one but himself, and Technoblade knew what was about to happen. He couldn't help himself but smile. The knight from the Earth's nation had seen him smile.

The air king was in disbelief. With his anger, he whispered something to his knights. His knight lifted a crossbow, and shot at Sapnap.

With only a few seconds to spare, the knight had grabbed the arrow right before it hit Sapnap's head. His smile broke instantly.

"So that's how you want to play this game, huh?" Sapnap said with a cocky voice. Philza, with fear in his eyes, began to walk backwards.

The nations were like rock, paper, scissors. The fire nation quickly took over the air and earth nation, yet water could take over the fire nation.

"I would suggest you'd watch your step," Sapnap said. Fire broke out from his hand. He pointed it at the air king.

"Sir!" A knight yelled. "Don't do it!"

Sapnap gritted his teeth, and lowered his hand.

"Run." Sapnap ordered the others. He snapped his fingers, signaling his knights to chase them out. They obliged, running after the 3.

Once they were out, Sapnap looked to King Wilbur.

"My knights will seek you out." Sapnap said, as the other few knights walked with the others out. He winked at technoblade, knowing what his plan was.

"Sir, it is an honor to work with you," the new knight said. Sapnap looked his way.

"Yes, thank you. What is your name?" Sapnap asked.

"My name is Dream. It's what they call me." Dream said.

"How elegant. Show him his room," Sapnap ordered his butlers. They bowed and motioned for Dream to follow them. Sapnap put his hand over his mouth and smiled. "How handsome."

"Handsome?" Punz said.

"Ah, I forgot you were here. Leave now. Forget what you just heard."
