All Rose Valia knew was the life on the Lighthouse. The earth was destroyed, split in half, and Rose had never even stepped foot on there. She was born onto the alien ship and there she was doomed to stay. The Blues, also known as the Kree, were the leaders, and all of the humans were forced to comply with their rules. It was tough, but Rose had managed to stay alive so far.
But life on the Lighthouse got a lot more interesting when a group of S.H.E.I.L.D agents showed up supposedly from the past. Those people were destined to save them, according to the elders. Rose really hoped that was true because she wasn't sure how much more of this life she could take.
Through the guide of these new mysterious people, Rose learned a lot about herself, and others around her. She grew close to them, and some of her other crewmembers on the lighthouse.
Deke Shaw was Rose's best friend. They practically knew each other when they were children, growing up around the same floor on the Lighthouse. He was her rock, when life got hard they had each other's back.
Truthfully, Rose always thought that they would bloom into something else, something more than just friends. But he never seemed to think of her like that, he always seemed too preoccupied to notice her.
How much longer could she pine after someone who didn't seem to get the hint? And how much longer was he going to be oblivious to the fact that his best friend was head over heels for him.
