Psychic powers can come in a variety of different forms and manifestations. Some have to train their entire lives to be able to use even a little bit, some have life altering surgery to be given a chance to use them at all, while some simply are born with natural ability outclassing all others with negligible effort. Though not everyone who is gifted such powers is able to utilize them properly as is the case with one very individual.
"H-help! Help! Someone please saaaave meeeee!" A girl screamed out in fear.
Behind her was a purple humanoid creature standing twice the height of a man, only moments ago he had caused mass destruction to the immediate area using inexplicable spheres of energy destroying buildings in an instant. Truly a monstrous creature and enemy of humanity.
This short petite green haired woman of twenty eight years old that was running away in fear was one who was both immensely lucky and also unlucky at the same time. Born with incredibly high psychic potential unlike no other, but her abilities were restricted as well as specialized into one specific ability that was utterly out of her control and awareness.
This obscure psychic ability was exclusively linked to her emotional state. Activating only when the prerequisites have been met, when this lady is under extreme distress or feeling negative emotions. The name of this power was called:
[ABSOLUTE TERROR INCAPACITATING FIELD]
The purple monster clutched in stomach in pain and he stopped in place to compose himself.
"What...! Ah! Damnit!" He grunted, feeling a wave of something wash over him for a moment. It disappeared as fast as it appeared once the woman ran off.
When the little lady's emotions were so intense it was only natural that the great psychic power hidden within her leaked out unconsciously to protect her, an unstoppable field of negative energy at this point was released onto all nearby hostile beings within close proximity.
It forced anything caught in the wave to weaken without failure, and ever so slowly in time immobilizing them in the same despair and terror she felt, leaving them and their bodies vulnerable to the attacks of others people or creature. But to the eye of this green haired girl it miraculously seemed as if other more stronger beings had taken care of them, allowing her to live yet another day. This had occurred countless times in the past without fail.
Oh how lucky she thought she was.
She couldn't perceive the true reality of the situation, but perhaps this was a good thing. Maybe even a defensive mechanics of her mind in order for her powers to activate. Either way this woman was blissfully unaware of this specific power, however she was made aware by others that she possessed psychic powers.
This pint sized woman had a tendency to run into danger and come out unscathed nearly every time. The only explanation in other peoples minds was that she had extraordinary psychic powers and used them practically only on a whim, the woman was reluctant to believe this as anything other then a misunderstanding or sick joke however .
"Tch! A human with a little power? But only at close range. I'll obliterate you and fertilize the earth with your remains, die!" A few spheres of energy formed around the monster, he motioned towards the girl and the spheres shot at her.
Unfortunately for this green haired lady her powers did not have any capacity to defend her physically or from attacks coming at a distance. The terror including portion of her power also required some time to activate, it seemed as if this was the end for her.
'Th-this is it! I'm dead!' Those were the words that went though her mind. She closed her eyes in preparation for her inevitable demise.
But that violent end did not happen. She felt weightless. Opening her eyes she could see that a caped man had grabbed and moved her out of danger, carrying her bridal style before setting her down.
"You alright kid?" A man asked, his bald head shone in the suns light.
"Thank you thank you thank you thank you." The woman profusely thanked the bald caped man and practically latched onto him. She made no attempt to correct him on her age, that little bit of trivia was much less important then her life being saved.
"Uh, your welcome." He said, attempting to pry her off him, but his attention was suddenly brought back to the monster as it announced itself again.
"Fools. You only act but to delay your inevitable deaths. Now I, Vaccine Man will bring about your end." Around Vaccine Man more spheres of energy formed from thin air.
The small woman who had latched onto the caped mans legs stared at the spheres nervously.
"M-maybe it'd be best if we ran away. Those things look dangerous. Really dangerous." She whispered, clinging on like a baby ape to its mother.
"Oh? Better take care of this fast then before more damage can be done." The bald man said simply.
Vaccine Man scoffed. "You really think-
The woman who saw this was wide eyed. The spheres of light and creature that called itself Vaccine Man was no more. His body being utterly decimated by a single punch as the creatures remains scattered on the ground.
"You gonna let go now?" He asked.
Wordlessly she got off the man. Still awestruck by the display of power before her. If only she was as strong as other people made her out to be. Would've that be nice?
"You don't need a hospital right?"
The girl shook her head.
"Okay. Uh, I'm gonna go now." And he walked off before jumping. It happened at a speed so fast the woman would've missed it had she looked away.
"Thank god I got saved... again." She breathed out a sigh of exhaustion, and collapsed to the ground.
"Our hero!"
"This man saved our lives!"
"Huh? He's still here?" Curious the short woman sar up and looked towards the celebration.
"Huh?!" She was befuddled.
A group of other heroes were complimenting a man, but it was completely different person then who had defeated the monster! Not the real hero who had saved the day. Saved her!
'What the hell?! That's not right, I'm going to clear things up over there!' She fumed.
The woman walked directly towards the celebrated man.
"Hey mister!"
The tall well built blonde man stared at her in an extremely imposing manner. His chiseled chin, bloodstained clothes, and scar across his eye served to give him a formidable presence. Combined with a mysterious noise being produced by him.
RUMBLE RUMBLE RUMBLE
"Never mind take care!" She quickly turned away. Chickening out instantly when faced with a more intimidating person.
'On second thought that guy looks really scary! Maybe he would have dealt with the monster if that bald guy hadn't shown up. Was he fighting jt already? Probably. Well, even if I'm a 'hero' it really is none of my business as civilian.'
"Hey it's Tatsumaki! The Tornado of Terror! She and the other guy must have fought together!" A nearby person exclaimed.
'Oh god dammit not again!' She put her face in her hands.
